    With an upward trend. :)
Unfortunately, comrade Pooteen has much much more cannon fodder to throw into battle.

So Ukrainians urgently need powerful and sophisticated weapons to accomplish maximum pest control. :)

EU tells Ukraine ‘We will be with you’ on the Long Road to Membership. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen told Ukraine’s parliament that Europe ‘will be with you’ on the long road to EU membership. In a virtual address she underlined progress that Ukraine has made and highlighted areas that needed reform including the implementation of media laws, reducing oligarch’s influence and the appointment of anti-corruption officials in the Ukrainian government. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy says that EU membership cannot take decades to happen and urged lawmakers in Kyiv to pass the needed reforms as soon as possible. Reuters

Murder of civilians seems to be Russia's policy.
Russian Missiles Kill 19 in Odessa. Russian missiles hit residential areas near the Ukrainian port city of Odessa on Friday, killing at least 19 people. The Ukrainian president’s office says three missiles fired by Russian bombers struck an apartment building and two campsites in the town of Serhiivka. The Kremlin again denied that Russian forces target civilians. The attacks came after Russia withdrew from the nearby, strategically important Black Sea outcrop of Snake Island on Thursday. A border wall that's worthwhile:

Poland Finishes Border Wall on Belarus Border. Polish Prime Minister Mteusz Morawiecki and top security officials visited the border with Belarus on Thursday to mark the completion of a new border wall. Authorities later lifted a state of emergency along the border imposed during a surge in migrants from the Belarus side. Poland says the border wall will keep Belarus from using migrants in “hybrid warfare” to pressure the EU. Associated Press

At least 1 dead and 5 injured after children's medical rehabilitation center near Odesa hit in Russian attack

From CNN's Jonny Hallam and Cristiana Moisescu

In the aftermath of Russia's early morning missile strikes on a residential area near Odesa in southern Ukraine, Moldova's Minister of Health Ala Nemerenco has said one of the buildings struck in the attack was a rehabilitation center for treating Moldovan children with health problems.

In a statement on Facebook, Nemerenco said that although the building itself was not badly damaged, with only windows smashed in part of the building, one employee was killed and five were injured following the strike.

The Moldovan-owned rehabilitation center gave "children with health problems in the Republic of Moldova the opportunity to benefit from medical rehabilitation services on the Black Sea coast," Nemerenco said.

Nemerenco paid tribute to the facilities' medical staff who were injured and killed in the Russian bombardment.

"These peaceful people made the days of Moldova's children more beautiful; they took care of their rehabilitation with a lot of love and dedication, and we wish them from the bottom of our hearts a total recovery. To the family of the deceased colleague, we express our deepest condolences and sorrow," she said.
The center had been closed to patients since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, said Nemerenco. No children are thought to have been at the center at the time of the attack.

On a related note, I hear it was the French CAESAR artillery that was pounding Snake Island. It was just barely in range.

I think the Americans should forget these things and concentrate on HIMARS and similar kit

A Russian wife turned to her husband and asked, "What's this special
military operation our glorious leader keeps talking about?"
Her husband replied, "It's a proxy war between Russia and NATO."
    "Oh, right. How's it going?"
"Well," he replied, "so far we've lost 24,000 soldiers, 2,000 tanks,
200 aircraft, numerous helicopters, loads of armoured vehicles and
artillery pieces. Not forgetting our Black Sea flag ship along with
    other naval pieces"

    "Wow! What about NATO?"
    "They haven't turned up yet."

The Pentagon announced a new security assistance package for Ukraine worth $820 million.

The 14th drawdown of equipment from U.S. military inventories includes additional ammunition for the High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems, or HIMARS.

Read more: Here’s a look at the firepower the U.S. has committed to Ukraine in its fight against Russia

The Pentagon will also provide Ukraine with two National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems, or NASAMS, as well as up to 150,000 rounds of 155 mm artillery ammunition and four additional counter-artillery radars.

The new package brings the U.S. commitment to approximately $6.9 billion since the beginning of Russia’s unprovoked invasion on Feb. 24.

One of the issues over here is what is what's happening about back filling for the kit that is being set over to Ukraine - what's the debate in the US?

none of this would have happened with Trump in office... guess that why the Establishment and the Military/Industrial Complex hated him so... they must love Joe, leaving all the equipment and materials in Afghanistan that will have to be replaced at high retail (with grift built in for the DC pig trough)

Actually, it was Trump undermining NATO that emboldened the Pootster.
