Believing that the (federal) government 'can do more' is opening a gateway for them to direct 'your' life. And that is NOT a good thing. The Federal government was not created to tell you what you should be doing, how to do it, or when/where to do it. They make the starting gate of humans equal. Where someone goes after that, is up to the individual.
You're making no sense. I make no bones about the fact that I am on the right. You however always support left causes, but claim not to be on the left
These days, what defines right and left seems to be how grounded in reality one is. As Stephen Colbert once put it: "Reality has a well-known liberal bias." A nice reminder that, once upon a time, Republicans had a sense of humor and weren't all constantly mad and extremist (because the internet hadn't yet made them this way).
Being a Trump apologist means only that you are a Trump apologist, but if you say you favor right wing views then so be it. Unlike you, I am not in business of telling others what their views are. What left causes? You have made that claim before, but then could not explain yourself. You took the same test, and ended up further left than me. LOL. Life is very simple to some people, because they see themselves as "right" and if you don't agree 100% with which politicians they support, then you must be "left".
The definition of excellence is excelling in accomplishment. It doesn't matter where is comes from. In any case I don't think you can buy excellence.
So your answer is to get rid of those you disagree with…how authoritarian of you. How about more conservatives become teachers and get on school boards to get involved and have a voice? You know…take some real action instead of just chirping about it.
Yes that is happening as we speak. I've done my bit to elect a conservative school board. Get yourself ready for the Great Reaction.
The way equity works is the left digs holes for the tall to stand in because it is easier to hold back the smart kids than advance the dumb ones.
Instead of blaming "progressives" for all ills in the nation, why don't conservatives take over running cities, counties, schools, etc. It seems conservatives might see it as "mission impossible" and prefer to sit back and play the blame-game. Somehow the smart ones always end up in top spots in the professional world, and the best athletes end up in top spots in the world of sports, so maybe things are not as dark as you see it.
I really love painting and painting history. Many painters were excellent painters because they were very talented but beyond that, where does it come from ? Because just some people where very talented ? No, learning to paint and to draw require methods, places. The workshop of many painters were the place of such transmission, but it flourished also because academies. I tend to dislike the 19th century in the history of painting for that, the transmission in artists workshops stopped, remained only art schools. Talent is something, but if you don't allow it to flourish, then it would remain nothing. It's like a seed, even the best seed if not planted in a fertile soil and watered would dry and die. Considering the talent as something as purely individual is an illusion, it require a whole organization, infrastructures to enable them. Many children don't have a real chance, they're thrown into mass education to follow an archaic education, in overcrowded class where some kids with problems will drag them in the abysses. They didn't had a real chance to begin with to reach excellence. It's true that many parents don't give a true chance to their kids, leaving them in front of the tv. We know today that reading stories to your kid the evening will give them significant chances. Some people brag about their own excellence, but they started anyway at three meters of the final line. So the question is should we leave some seeds in a dry soil and declare that anyway they're not good enough, or it may be worth the try to water them ?
First Robespierrecwas not totalitarian. In fact he spent some considérablement time debating the case for third parties in the newly formed Assemblée Générale. Second, I doubt you will find me taking à position anywhere outside democracy. In fact I have reported to using it to decide many issues including, recently, the content of an educational curriculum. I reject your claim that everyone is against misogyny is disproven by some posts in here. Then your discourse on transgender issues reminds me if the thread in which i clearly and repeatedly said à man cannot become à woman. It must have slipped your mind so you can better write my opinions for me. And finally you seem to have an odd definition of equality of opportunities does not mean equality of opportunity. I have never mentioned limiting anyone's opportunity because I prefer EQUALITY of opportunity. It is an odd language you translate into. Finally you will have to define "human being" since the "being" of an unviable fetus is not a "being". It is part of its mother's being. Finally ivzgree. Viable life should not be taken . Self defense can be and is achieved in other ways and I doubt anyone will practise bloodlust while in prison. So what else ya got? So far I don't fit your stéréotype.
Anyone not for authoritarian policies would ID with the left according to any Trump/DeSantis supporter. It's the right that seems to want the government involved in controlling the market, and woman's bodies.
So YOU'RE not personally getting involved? Got it. I don't have to get ready for anything as I don't give a rats a55. My kids are in college now. But when they were in K-12 my wife and I did this thing that seems to be foreign to most people....we parented our kids. Which is why they know there are only two genders and know a biological male can't become a woman. But they are also tolerant of people who believe such nonsense.
