That’s what you get when you assert people who aren’t racist are and treat them like they are. Eventually they will become that thing. If you constantly call your girlfriend a cheater and you treat her as if she is a cheater, eventually she’s going to say if I’m going to suffer the consequences I might as well engage in the benefits and she will cheat. It’s not activism. Activism is what gave them the right to marry. There is no constitutional argument that gives the federal government power over any marriage. I don’t even think tax incentives for marriage is constitutional.

And under the constitution only the state has that right to back marriage by law. As per the tenth amendment. Nowhere in the constitution does it permit federal power over marriage, and nowhere in the constitution does it restrict marriage to the state. Therefore it is a state right. As for arguing gay marriage none of this argument is about gay marriage. I’m saying the federal government does not have the right to dabble in marriage at all.
