That's a really ****ing sad commentary on BOTH parties if Trump and Biden are the best they can come up with.
It's like a restaurant that only serves a "crap sandwich" or a "double crap sandwich".

We give men the right to end another's life in many circumstance - protecting their home or life, war, police activity, terminal care ... try again.

Although you made a valid point, perhaps it's not so much a sad commentary on both Parties as much as it is on voters who can't look beyond both Parties.

Short of there being a rip in the space-time continuum, I don't think so. Not everyone can hate 24/7 like his fans do.

18-20 house seats as it stands today. That’s a far cry from the average gain of 48.5 seats for the party out of power when a president of the party in power is around a 40% overall job approval number. Here's the list of presidents who had around a 40% overall approval rating along with the number of seats their party lost in their first midterm.

Biden 2022 40% ?????? projected loss of 18-20 house seats, gain of 1 senate seat as of 15 July

Trump 2018 40% lost 44 house seats, 3 senate seats

Obama 2010 42% lost 63 house seats, 6 senate seats

    G.W. Bush 2006 33% lost 33 house seats, 6 senate seats

Bill Clinton 1994 42% lost 54 house seats, 9 senate seats

Then there is the average of 6 senate seats lost. Today it looks like at least a gain of 1 for the Democrats in Pennsylvania where Fetterman leads Oz by 11 points. There may be a shocker in Ohio where Ryan is leading Vance by 4 points. I doubt that will hold in Republican leaning Ohio, but Ohio is a state to keep an eye on. Then there Wisconsin which is even between Johnson and Barnes.

In a year where the Republicans were expecting a red wave, it is going to be much less.

To win, gain control over the FBI, the AG's office and the DOJ, and gain that pardon power back. Even if he does not actually win the general, a lot of potential prosecution / committee witness may become a lot more difficult, anticipating a possible pardon during the campaign.

I think the audience (or lack thereof) of the Jan 6 committee meetings is a good indication. The public is getting bored, tired, fed up, and annoyed at these obvious Democrat shenanigans.

The thing is, only the stupidest of the stupid would want to run for president because, no matter what, half the country will be at your throat constantly trying to take you down and trying to make you fail and attacking you with all kinds of nonsense allegations. The smarter people are way too smart to put themselves through that. So, our only choices are the stupidest of the stupid.

Ummmmmmmmmmm, we give both men and women that right. But, we don't give either one of them the right to murder. But, it is a step in the right direction when you acknowledge that abortion is indeed murder.

Based on 2020, I think the Democrats would just need to nominate a younger, vaguely likable candidate and then let Trump run against himself. Despite all the derision behind it, there really was something to the claim that Biden "hid in the basement" during the campaign and that was the best strategy for him, not because he had nothing to say but because best political plan was to simply let Trump rage and rail and alienate centrist voters. As they say, "if your opponent is making a mistake, don't interrupt him."

Democrats (who outnumber Republicans) will turn out to vote against Trump; independents dislike Trump more than they like him; and even Trump's own party is split over whether he's fit to ever hold office again. All a Democratic candidate needs to do is stay out of the way and let the election become a referendum of Donald J. Trump.

Of course whether the Democrats can pull off that simple feat is another question entirely. In 2016 they couldn't and insanely chose to nominate Clinton, the least popular, most hated candidate who ran in their primary. Assuming they can avoid that kind of masochistic blunder in 2024, they would be fine.

I believe he would lose for the same reasons explained by Perotista. The Republicans have a number of people who could win if they are the Republican nominee. The time has come for Republicans to move on from Trump … or lose in 2024 and learn the hard way.

it really irritates me to agree with you, but the "two party system" is an inevitable, and catastrophic, result of our constitution and our method of voting.

LOL. So, you're saying that Trump sold our nuclear secrets to Russia, China, or whomever and them kept them in boxes in his home?
