.. just cause you don't realize the consequences of your actions .. don't no strawman make.

What Mandates ? and what Pandemic .. for example .. right now .. there is no pandemic .. most people have natural immunity .. as good as anything the vax is going to give them in any case..

but .. if it were a Pandemic .. then actions related to bodily autonomy become up for grabs - by the time the vax arrived .. there was no "Pandemic" in any real sense .. but supposing there was (on the off ridiculous chance that you could validate such a claim) = So what ?

Just because there is a Pandemic .. does not allow the State to go out and rape women .. unless you would show that doing so would help "Significantly" .. as in .. a legitimate expectation of 1) preventing transmission and 2) decreasing harm

The floor is yours .. violation of bodily autonomy 101 .. Justify the use of the heavy hand of the State .. to violate bodily autonomy ... such as with Abortion .. ... Some body has claimed "Its a life" and on this basis justified violation of bodily autonomy

"DATA you have to work with" No significant transmission effect - No significant decrease in harm to healthy people (Immune compromized some benefit shown) .. individuals who have already had Covid .. but not had the Jab .. so Risk of harm from Jab much greater than risk of harm from Omicron.

Go ... Justify this violation of liberty .. one on the same level as the violation of liberty with abortion .. lets see your measuring stick .. how you gonna justify .. given the above scientifically accepted data. .. Your the Judge... have at er...

If this doesn't tell you explicitly that the neocon right is on your side, nothing will. He is obviously doing this in front of the elections to throw them to the Democrats. This has zero chance for passage because the Republicans have no power. It was therefor done for political purposes. This is EXACTLY what the Democrats wanted and this guy gave it to them. The reason for this could be not be more clear, to prevent Republicans from taking over the House/Senate. HE IS ON YOUR SIDE. Nobody could be this politically retarded.... NOBODY.

The Republicans should be running on CRT, trans issues, the border, record inflation, skyrocketing crime, etc..... the things that matter to the people. The fact that this idiot pulled this move at this time is damn near treasonous.

Look I'm pro choice but the fact of the matter is it was faulty law mainly, as Ruth said, it focused on physician' freedom to practice, not women's rights. Read the below, and as a Republican I respected the heck out of Ginsberg! We are now seeing today the exact problem it created today. The movement had momentum and the states were under immense pressure to change their laws. She knew eventually due to the law would be overturned and now we are here. Here's some quotes from her in this piece.

My criticism of Roe is that it seemed to have stopped the momentum on the side of change,” Ginsburg said. She would’ve preferred that abortion rights be secured more gradually, in a process that included state legislatures and the courts, she added. Ginsburg also was troubled that the focus on Roe was on a right to privacy, rather than women’s rights.

“Roe isn’t really about the woman’s choice, is it?” Ginsburg said. “It’s about the doctor’s freedom to practice…it wasn’t woman-centered, it was physician-centered.”

Maybe, or he's smart as a fox. I think the majority of americans, like the EU, support abortion up until15-20 weeks with exceptions after the that. I think the only places this is an issue is in the deep south and most are heavily republican anyway. I will say it's past time the congress get's off their collective asses and addresses this along with several other problems. The bottom line the left is using this as a political pawn, and it's fairly obvious they don't give a rat's ass about women's right here or they could've passed a 20week deal the day the court announced. It reminds me of how they use minorities, they care so much for the communities they defund the police and let crime go unpunished. The push electric car credits for the rich off the backs off the poor thats paying taxes and could never afford an electric car. It's all smoke and mirrors with the left these days.

You heard wrong. Most women know they're pregnant before six weeks. There are a small minority with really irregular periods, or really poor understandings of how conception works, that may not know until later, but they're the exception, not the norm.

They do not. Public support for abortion absolutely plummets after the first trimester (week 13).

It was wrong for 50 years. The ruling by this scotus is correct and Roe V Wade was wrong in all historical and constitutional sense.

    Spot on!

Some pretend women are such victims but most pregnancies are a choice of actions made.

That's an interesting read on Roe, and I would have been interested to hear her substantiate the argument that the ruling was about "the doctor's freedom to practice" and not "the woman's choice".

However, I do agree that the ruling was faulty and should not have been based on the rights to privacy and due process. IMO, it would have been more firmly anchored on the right to self-proprietorship, which is a right that has been recognized by the SCOTUS, in common law and in the Western rights tradition going back centuries.

Texas and it's Remain pregnant even when an abortion is nessessary.

Irrelevant, once there is a rape exception, it nullifies the entire ban because anyone who wants an abortion will just claim they woke up one morning pregnant. Roofies exist.

So abortion should be completely banned. Ok then.

If one were an authoritarian and support such garbage, they could try to ban liberty.
But once again banning erases the benefits of regulation, and usually results in worse outcomes.

True, but that is Ginsburg stating that she would have argued based on woman's rights, not the right to privacy. The decision was based on the right to privacy, which is the precursor to any alienable right we have, basically. And the problem with Dobbs is that now the right to privacy is in jeopardy with government intrusion into patient-physician, the bedroom, marriage, etc, by the right. And that is why so many states now have strict abortion bans because of Dobbs's decision, all because of the Right's obsession to get rid of it altogether.

This post of yours is misinformation. No government in America, not even Texas, is forcing anyone to get pregnant.

I note that in America you tend to focus your attention on the fetus, forgetting the woman.

In continental Europe it's the other way round.
I'm an Evangelic Protestant and I consider abortion a murder. Nothing else.

So that, abortion is a social threat. Period.

We should wonder why a woman wants to abort.
This is the question. We need to understand women.

Now, a pregnancy is a nine months problem when it's desired.
Imagine when it's not desired ...

And that's the context when a woman can think to abort.
What are we going to offer to that woman?
This is the real question ....

No, they want the woman to be in control of her own body with the advice and consent of medical professionals. Blue states don’t want the government involved at all — that’s you guys.

There's not really much to wonder about. The vast majority of abortions are sought for social / economic reasons.

Well I'll take a justice that was a women's rights champion, I'm not a lawyer. Either way, the decision was flawed on many fronts and why law scholars warned eventually it would be overturned. Dems had a super majority, didn't fix it. Republicans had a super majority and didn't touch it. The fact is the federal government WANTS it to be a state decision and the left just uses it as a political pawn.
