Why are you dishonestly referring to them as “illegals”…??

If the 50 were white people from Ukraine they would have somehow found room.

Our laws allow them to seek asylum here. They will get a hearing and it will be decided. I thought Republicans wanted folks to do it the right way, are you against that now too?

As the guy on Tucker's show last night said, if they were white Ukrainians, the towns on Martha's Vinyard would have had a parade for them.

This is a dumb as **** premise and doesn’t require response, but because MV doesn’t have any immigrant processing facilities. And Rons political show failed because Massachusetts stepped up. As Trump would say BIGLY! Yuge!

    I agree, it doesn't

But Newsome using money fro his PAC/Campaign is much different than Abbott and DeSantis suing state money on this stunt

Do you have any intel on Newsom and is that money coming for the state coffers ?

They sneaked into the concert and someone gave them a front row ticket. They just didn't get a seat. They are still in the concert.
It's not anyone's fault but theirs that they are in this country. If I were them, I would feel grateful that I wasn't deported like I should have been. I would go get a job from one of the rich bleeding libs and feel good about myself. Not only that, I would feel lucky that I got a free ride to Martha's Vineyard to boot. The people in Martha's Vineyard are much more capable of taking care of them than the poor people of El Paso or other border cities. Why would you want them to continue to live in the ghetto's of South Texas rather than the grandeur of Massachusetts? It seems to me that you guys are the ones that do not want to help these people out.

this is NOTHING more than political theater

why is deathsantis spending Florida money in texas?? Texas has way more money than Florida

does this look familiar??...this is exactly what trump did and still tries to do

but unlike deathsantis, trump does not have the platform of the governor of a populated state like Florida

the only genius thing about this news is deathsantis is getting nationwide coverage for being outrageous

every selfish, ignorant redneck thinks this is wonderful, but it is actually adding to the problem

the increase in immigration is because of the message trumpers and Qaloons put out there

Biden NEVER said the borders would be open...Biden said he wanted to fix the broken immigration system

Trump and the Qaloons spins this and says that if Biden wins the borders would be open

trump basically was baiting the immigrants with this information

deathsantis lied to the immigrants to get them on the plane,,,keep in mind this was the first time most of them have ever rode on a plane

they would have gotten on the plane for the sandwhich

no doubt this is international news, people all over central and south America began packing up and heading north after hearing this story

they want a plane ride too....thanks Ron for inviting immigrants

I lived in Hialeah Florida for many years .during my time there English became a second language ,,the entire Miami suburb is crawling with illegals from Cuba...running a small busines while I was there once a month I would receive a phony tax number ,,

illegals think taxes are only for the rich...I had a guy quit after one week because I withheld taxes from his check

if deathsantis wants to export illegals he should rent a boat and ship the illegal Cubans back to Cuba

he could start at the coffee counter at Versailles on SW 8th street...go north to Miami springs and then into Hialeah

before being halfway through Hialeah, a cruise ship full of illegal Cubans could be found right in deathsantis back yard

this entire deal is very sad

if deathsantis can lie and use the most desperate people on earth as a political tool,,

can you imagine what lies he will say to use the Trumpers and Qaloons as tools??

The migrants were not sent to any immigrant processing facility, there are already plenty of beds in MV.

Before getting on the ferry to the mainland, migrant Everlides Dela Hoz told the Cape Cod Times she had no clue where she being taken, but was told the location would be safe and equipped with beds.

    *

Abbott and DeSantis say they are shipping migrants north to help educate others about the strain experienced by border states.

This year has already seen an all-time record number of illegal border crossings. Fiscal year 2022, which ends Sept. 30, is expected to record more than 2 million migrant encounters along the US-Mexico border, an increase from 1.7 million in fiscal 2021, fewer than 500,000 in fiscal 2020 and nearly 1 million in fiscal 2019.

Critics blame President Biden’s border policies and his more welcoming rhetoric to migrants. The Biden administration has relaxed a Trump-era policy of turning away all illegal border-crossers, citing a CDC COVID-19 rule, and ended a policy of requiring migrants to remain in Mexico to await court rulings on their asylum claims.

USA Today: "Meanwhile, the Biden administration said it is "surging resources" to El Paso, Texas' sixth-largest city, where homeless shelters are overwhelmed and migrants with nowhere else to go are sleeping in the streets."

"As authorities figure out next steps for the migrants, they were given shelter at Joint Base Cape Cod, where dormitory-style accommodations, clothing, toiletry kits and food will be provided. Legal and health care services, including mental health and crisis counseling aid, will also be provided."

It sounds to me that they have been given what was promised and are much better off than they were in the streets of El Paso.

MV attracts 200,000 tourists each summer. Surely it can handle 50 illegals.

Of course the MA governor stepped up. She wouldn't want to anger the powerful people on MV.

MV has about 17,000 people with about 15,000 homes and zero short term market.

They, recognizing their inability to handle these folks in meaningful way, arranged for them to go to a place that Could handle them, provide food and housing and long term housing prospects.

The fact that you think you have some "gotcha" here is hilarious and kinda sad.

I'll assume your 'she' was either some sort of lame dig or lack of knowledge, since the Gov of MA is a dude (and a non-MAGA Republican)..

COMPLETELY sad.... that somebody would actually type "far away from their community for someone else to worry about." about the move to Cape Cod and not the 1500 mile flight to traffic humans for political purposes....

    Just awesome!

    WHEN THE AXIS TILTS
    [IMG]
'The Martha’s Vineyard’s meltdown illustrates the efficacy of a few of Saul Alinsky’s Rules For Radicals. Governors Abbott and DeSantis have put several of Alinsky’s rules in play Among them:
    • Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.
    • Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.
    • A good tactic is one your people enjoy.
    • Keep the pressure on.'

“They should call it out for what it is,” he said, “political bullshit.”

'Opening the borders = authentic political integrity. Call it out, baby!'

'The Alinsky effect was on public display at the White House briefing by press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre yesterday.'

'Curtis Houck captures the questions and answers on the Martha’s Vineyard action: “[KJP] struggled with questions from both her allies in the press corps and actual reporters about the move, including a Kamala Harris-like answer and a general attitude painting Martha’s Vineyard as some sort of Third World outpost.”'

So immigrants can only stay where there are processing facilities? Do the border towns know this?

You say Mass stepped up, as in they removed them from the beautiful area of MV and bussed them to a military base. They weren't allowed to stay in MV more than a single day. Let me remind you this was 48 migrants. This is not "stepping up", this shows what a fraud the dems are when it comes to migrants. Let TX and border towns figure out how to deal with millions, with more crossing every single day and you want us to be proud of how Mass handled 48?
