    As I just cited-- in a post that may get lost, I fear, with the starting, so quickly, of a new page in the thread-- apprehensions, in encounters of border agents, with illegal migrants, at the end of the Trump Administration, were a pathetic (and quite inviting, to non citizens) 17%. Under Biden, they quickly rose (for the same period, year to year) to 53%.

    ~ Of course. That's the result of Trump administration control of the southern border . The Stay in Mexico policy worked when Trump-O was in the House. Mexican police were actually assisting at the border — AS OPPOSED TO THE OPEN BORDER POLITICAL POLICY OF BIDEN/HARRIS CATASTROPHE .

    For Instance, if a private pro-immigration organization had rounded up these 50 people and took them somewhere PRIVATELY to avoid the full immigration process, and without the hoopla, I imagine the MAGA's would be screaming bloody murder (if they found out about it)....

    One of the few decent R governors, and he's gone. Similar to Hogan in Maryland and Hutchinson in Arkansas, who are term limited.

    Hmmmm.....I was once married to a woman who is 100% Puerto Rican. Where I live I'm surrounded by people who came from Mexico and there are no problems. What we're seeing in MV is a microcosm of the left in general, they want their illegals until they get their illegals.

    Opinions vary. I'd rather be around a guy like DeSantis and not a guy who bans state business in other states only to then vacation in them. Even Newsom's family donated to DeSantis.

    You apparently do not understand statistics, or perhaps just numbers, very well. The 17% apprehension rate, of the border patrol, under the Trump Administration, refers to 17% of the times that they came across people trying to illegally cross into our country. How in God's name, from that, do you arrive at the conclusion that the Trump Admin. controlled the border, or that "The Stay in Mexico policy worked?"

    What it actually means is, when the agents came across the migrants, they did not apprehend them, 83% of the time. Which means that they just pointed them back, in the opposite direction (or perhaps just let them continue on their merry way). Conversely, more than half the time-- which you disingenuously omitted from your quote (when I had thought you had more class than that)-- under the Biden Administration, these "encounters," led to apprehensions, by the ICE agents.

    No amount of my "try(ing)better," is going to make someone averse to facts, any more receptive.

    By a similar logic-- and putting aside the possibility that those lauding DeSantis are not just utterly dishonest-- it could be assumed that you are perfectly fine with a "no borders" policy, as long as the lion's share of immigrants don't settle in your own neighborhood.

    Is that the truth, of the matter?
