Judge grants Trump's request for special master, halts review of seized documents

Jayzuz, Humpty gets the Special Master he wants and now he is starting a pissing contest with his own choice!

 

classification is in question, trump is asking for due process. the gobblety gook he is talking about or contention is classification. If not case dismissed. At this point a judge needs to make some kind of ruling on it. I havent seen the actual case so I dont know where they are at in so far as the pleadings are concerned, Im guessing based on what the guy read. Trumps attorneys are basically saying its not as simple as a yes no answer. They dont want to take a hard position until they better understand what they are dealing with. Thats what it sounds like to me. Typical wrangling.

 

So it's more than obvious now that Judge Dearie and everyone else knows the top-secret etc documents that Trump stole and stashed were never declassified,

Trump team ruing the day it proposed Judge Dearie and appalled he is asking for their position on declassification. As sure as the night follows the day, next Trump tactic will be denigrating Dearie publicly and asking Cannon to clip his wings.

If his attorneys are expecting indictments anyway it didnt make sense to ask for a special master to investigate the documents which is what I assume was the purpose since that is the function of a special master. Maybe a delay tactic.

 

Butt-butt Trump's boy Kash Patel said he was with Trump right before he left the White House and saw Trump declassify a "mountain" of documents with the spoken word.

Then Patel claimed that Trump's staffers responsible for carrying out the declassifying process refused to do so, but they're all still declassified,
No sweat though, Patel can go under oath and explain it all to the FBI.

Trump doing everything possible to delay all of his lawsuits is a given.

Judge Dearie is meeting tomorrow in his courtroom with Trump's lawyers and the prosecutors, so we'll see how this all starts to unfold.

Wait a minute. If Trump wanted to prevent a cover up, why didn't he release those documents showing evidence of a deep state to the public? Why did he keep it at his residence for his eyes only?

 

You'd think the DOJ would be happy about this, it would mean anything they do would be above reproach?

 

I truly am amazed at the legal pretzels that team Trump are flinging about.
I doubt it will happen, but I want to see the look on Trump's face as he sits in a courtroom during trial.
He says he loves this country, but he sure has no problem slapping the USA in the face.
And there is a deep state. It's comprised of many politicians, judges, and most of the rest of the citizens of this country who believe in the USA and it's laws.
On the other side there is Trump and his followers.

It's still not going to work, but this one will take a tad more explaining to explain why his doodles do not override document classifications...

On the infinitesimally small chance that he ADDED anything useful to the document, that now belongs to the USA.... and boy, will that piss him off....

Trump's lawyers are unaware of whether or not they're classified, the government claims they're so classified that they can't even see it. And yet they're going to pursue a case regarding documents they supposedly can't see, and neither can Trump's lawyers? This is utterly unfair to Trump's lawyers, as it puts them in a bind. They can either declare declassification without knowing whether they're actually declassified or not, or submit to the order of the SM.

Basically, the only way this can be litigated fairly, is when they hand down the indictments. Because in a criminal trial, the government has no choice but to actually show cause in discovery. Trump may not like being arranged, but it's his best defense.

 

Not if they really are as bad as the speculation is. We KNOW that there are documents with markings on the outside that are only put on highly sensitive documents, but very few actually know what's in them. That's why it's so important to do the damage assessments, then the people who know how to evaluate them will.
It would be interesting exactly how they go about a trial with discovery and such. If it gets there, Trump is toast, in my opinion.

If Humpty wants to assert declassification, then he does so....in Court, and not in the twattersphere where bullshit reigns supreme and carefree.

No.... they're just saying some things are above most of the investigation team. Obviously, there are people in the DOJ qualified to read everything retrieved...

They're going to submit to the order of the SM, because their idiot client cannot prove he declassified anything (because he didn't). What Dearie did today is what Loose Cannon should have done 2 weeks ago. Call out his BS...

And for the millionth time, what's actually IN the classified documents will NEVER come up in court. Just the fact that they belong with the government and T**** obstructed a lawful subpoena requiring their return, among other crimes around these documents..

 

So.... ASSUMING the following:

1. T****'s lawyers pass on declaring declassification
2. Dearie files with the Fla court that the 100 Classifieds are Govt property and should be released back to them ASAP (which he has little choice after 1)
3. Loose Cannon concurs (which she has to, I understand)

When does the DOJ get our documents back??

While Dearie starts in on the rest of the pile, which likely will result in EXACTLY how the DOJ originally determined stuff (some personal, some AC privileged, most back to NARA)

 

You know, something really interesting and funny is happening. All throughout Trump's presidency, it was 'defend the institutions, defend the institutions', we have to respect the institutions. But the moment a 'Trump Appointee' in Ms. Cannon gave a ruling for the Special Master, she's a 'loose cannon', or she's a 'corrupt Trump appointee'(per the video above)

So what happened to that so-called respect the institution? Was that a bunch of BS? Opposing political spin? *gasp*, It couldn't be! It's neither here nor there with regards to the Documents case/investigation, but something worth pointing out.
