Because sex can also mean the act, so that's why gender was used. And we already have words that describe your identity.. it's called feelings and... Identity.

The problem is all the laws are based around gender meaning sex.. all the scientific categories for different animals based on gender, (buck, doe, rooster, hen, stallion, mare etc) are all based on gender being based on the biological sex of the spices. Animals can not have a gender identity, trying to change what gender actually means is stupid.. come up with a new term if you have created a new idea. Or just use feelings... Problem solved..

Of course calling it feelings doesn't allow men into the women's locker room so we all know why it's being done

"She" is not a she, and doesn't have a vagina, HE has a surgical opening that shares a biome with his colon, and has been chemically castrated along with taking estrogen. Given that its a male person who had surgical alterations made and not a person born with a terrifying and tragic birth defect that equips them with outwardly correct anatomy of the opposite sex, that person goes in the mens locker room. I don't expect many of the men to be pleased about it, the smell alone is off putting.
"He" doesn't have a penis, he has a skin graft stretched over an implanted pump, and had a double mastectomy. Also steroids. I likewise don't expect the women to be best pleased, the scarring alone has to give you the willies.

We have the word intercourse for the “act”. Gender identity is a bit more complex than just feelings according to the psychology behind it.

It’s like saying depression is a feeling so we don’t need to categorize it.

I am not sure what you are referring to as scientific categories. Everything I was thought about in taxonomy and biology always referred to the sex classification. I cannot recall a singe instance of something being under a gender classification.

I bet you would love other nations that have unisex restrooms / locker rooms and nude beaches.
