The truth is, it's not a belief, it's reality.
Especially for minorities, women, LGBTQ groups.

It's likely you have never listened to any of those groups or walked in their shoes. And likely won't even attempt to understand things from their perspective.

Argue with Ibrahim kindi, he and a hand full of other self proclaimed Marxist scholars came up with it. So you basic argument is that Kindi Et Al are lying about themselves.

This is the replacement for workers unite you have nothing to lose but your chains.

Why would I need to argue with someone i've never heard of.
I guess I never heard of him because I don't care about fringe news.

Maybe this person isn't lying about him/hersf but live in the realm of fringe world.

And you think this one person has any power and that is the only one you have?

So then your argument is a loudly voiced "I don't know what I'm talking about and damn any one who would enlighten me." That's just sad but not entirely unexpected given your posting history.

That is not absolute truth, that is only what you believe. Because as you state, you were taught to believe that.

I woke up this morning got out of bed, went to work, came home and had dinner. It tested out quite well.

Maybe I misunderstood your 1st post.

It seems now you are claiming woke is this 1 person and who ever follows this one person?
How have you heard of him/her?

No sir I examined that in the light if the evidence of history. History is is fairly clear about what works and what doesn't which is why woke folk are trying to bastardize and destroy it.

Systemic racism exists but the idea it's all designed to oppress blacks is absurd.

    Of course it is.
Liberals aren't Marxists, so who are you talking about?
    This is made up nonsense.
This isn't something most liberals believe.

Well ISTM that the understanding of the word is so wide and even contradictory that no one knows what it means. Through the discussion it is now associated with Marxism, CRT, even though the term wasn't used until a couple of years ago.
So it can mean anything you want it to mean when you want to indicate something you don't like.

It is also one of those annoying words that indicate an unexplained barn door sized opinion you don't have to DETAIL. Just accuse someone of being "woke" and everyone thinks of something negative, but in dozens of ways.

and inevitably it has become a left right political snowball.
A useful one syllabled word sounding vaguely assertive...words ending in a hard consonant. Pri**, Di**, Cu**

It has nothing to do specifically with Marxism or with CRT or Democrats. It has more to do with priests, vicars, charity workers, social workers, sympathisers with a complex and contextual interpretation of history and anyone else who lends a hand to those who need it.

    and that is all.

    Pyccia said:
Woke is the belief that various forms of oppression exist (racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia) and that these forms are all interconnected (intersectionalism) and are deeply embedded in all social structures (structural racism).
    Wokeism deman
ds that these structures be dismantled and so attacks every social norm, including meritocracy, family, childhood innocence.

    You are confusing two ideas.
The term "intersectionalism" is from Critical Race Theory which you describe well enough in your first paragraph. It is an on-going study simply to find out where bias and discrimination comes from.
Wokeism is not part of that. CRT has no opinion about what to do about its findings. It merely outlines where the problems come from and leave how to respond to them to politicians and social science research specialists. You cannot say what solutions are suggested until you know what the CRT conclusions are reported. And since the study isn't even finished yet, there can be no report on what measures to take to mitigate racism.
CRT is also not concerned with sexism., homophobia etc. The clue is in the name "Critical RACE Theory".

I don't know why there is such a phobia about CRT. It is a scientific study to find out why there are so many divisions in general societies. Surely that is a good thing.

It doesn't matter how you examined it. It is what you were taught and what you believe.
That is not absolute truth. That is your subjective version of it.
History will show, the only constant in the world is change. One size does NOT fit all.

You made a broad based claim. Then when asked for evidence, you give 1, ONE, only 1, person to back up a broad based claim.
And this one person is a person most no one has heard of.

That is your post history. Broad based claims and no proof. Sad and expected.

Bill Casey of CIA fame noted back around 1981 that when everything the American people believe is false, we will know the success of our misinformation efforts.

Those generally described as 'woke' are indoctrinated thoroughly. Their views are not really ignorant, they are meant to accommodate destruction of American values and culture.

Yet American values and culture are constantly changing and whether that is good or bad depends upon who you ask. In todays America Christianity is on the decline which I imagine is disturbing to some and something to celebrate to others. What is destroying America to one is making America better to another. It is subjective.

    Oh yes.
Got almost everything wrong. While the term woke is indeed fairly new it is basically a rehash of various cultural Marxist ideas like CRT, distaste for the nuclear family, and a host of other far left nonsense.
Note changing names is what leftist often do. Prior to WWII the left called themselves progressive. They began calling themselves liberals after WWII and the horrors of industrial scale race purification in Nazi Germany. And please note American progressive were up to their butts in that sort thing via Margaret Sanger, who spoke at least twice to the KKK. Hence the name change. Now a generation has come and gone and that have dusted off the old progressive moniker and using it again.

2+2 does not equal thirty six. But welcome to your belief in nonsense

    Lol. It's your belief that 2+2= 36.
Because you were taught that. Even though it's not real. It's your nonsense.

I know 2+2=4. Because I deal with reality.

You are Alex Jones and I claim my five dollars.

"Simply put, critical race theory states that U.S. social institutions (e.g., the criminal justice system, education system, labor market, housing market, and healthcare system) are laced with racism embedded in laws, regulations, rules, and procedures that lead to differential outcomes by race."

Those who identify with the right are concerned that the exposure of the roots of racism will upset their status quo.
So the right are inventing all kinds of definitions to discredit the findings.
Instead of creating what it is, do some research.

"Critical race theory (CRT) is a cross-disciplinary examination, by social and civil-rights scholars and activists, of how laws, social and political movements, and media shape, and are shaped by, social conceptions of race and ethnicity.

    Critical race theory - Wikipedia"

I see nothing wrong with examining whether there is any inherent racism in those laws and systems are inherently biased. Maybe they are, maybe not. But I have to wonder why some are so frightened of the research.

Woke and CRT are not the same thing. The only association is the search for social bias.

Let me give you an example.
Why has Europe openly welcomed Ukrainian Refugees but has put huge difficulties in the way of Afghanistani translators who worked with western troops during the war?
Or in the way of Syrian refugees made homeless by Assad and backed by Putin?
CRT would attempt to identify the social and political sources for the legislation that results from such assumptions.
Closer to home, why is it counterintuitive that black people can study classical dance or music. Or ice dance or cycling?
I see no threat to anyone in trying to find out why. Of course the right don't want the status quo disturbed.

WOKE = unhappy; needs to complain about something/anything; unable to be satisfied; people with emptiness in their lives; people unable to point to anything constructive they have accomplished

To a certain point, yes it is subjective. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, no doubt.

One of the purposes of the rule of law is to arrive at a neutral system to define what is right and what is wrong.

The woke mindset may have good intentions, but the practical results are in many cases downright illegal and very harmful to a stable society. The notion that the color of one's skin is a qualifying condition for anything is against the law, as it should be. Among other things, the woke mindset practices racism.
