Nonsense. Social spending was actually launched in the 1930's by FDR.

You just don't get it. Mississippi covers pensions today. If they elected to have social security and medicare, the state would impose taxes to cover it.

Stop with the criticism of details. We've covered this before.

There would be no federal program transfers for any state.

Of course. People wanting goodies from a government that will provide them is how we got in this mess. Politicians have been buying votes for quite a while.

So you are a republican? That would make you a partisan.

I don't have time to write a book. I realize you prefer the status quo. So does everybody else. I've thought this through for decades. You haven't thought it through at all. If you are satisfied with federal government then you are part of the problem. Sorry.

Why do you keep posting the same lie when I've provided you with the truth--what I think you knew, anyway?

    More cherrypicking.
Trump didn't solve the illegals problem, especially when half of illegals overstayed a legit visa.
We've sent them $15b or so. How about ending $50+b insane "war on drugs?"

Your cherrypicked arguments suggests you can't defend Trump's Administration.

Overall, California contributes more tax dollars than it gets back.

"Because we determined not to make a traditional prosecutorial judgment, we did not draw ultimate conclusions about the President's conduct. The evidence we obtained about the President's actions and intent presents difficult issues that would need to be resolved if we were making a traditional prosecutorial judgment. At the same time, if we had confidence after a thorough investigation ofthe facts that the President clearly did not commit obstruction ofjustice, we would so state. Based on the facts and the applicable legal standards, we are unable to reach that judgment. Accordingly, while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him."
    Mueller said:

You act like I selected Mueller. Egads.

Trials do not exonerate either. Its GUILTY or NOT GUILTY. Mueller said NOT GUILTY (that's what "did not commit a crime" means).

What part of Judges and juries make the decision or verdict, not the Muellers of the world, to exonerate, not guilty, acquitted, guilty..do you not comprehend?. Mueller is not judge and jury. Prosecutors have no power to “exonerate” someone; they decide whether there is sufficient evidence to charge someone, and whether the law permits them to do so. If a prosecutor has sufficient evidence to “exonerate” someone, they simply do not file charges; similarly, if there is clear evidence of wrongdoing, but some legal hurdle to filing charges, they do not file charges.

Judges and courts do not say the alleged perpetrator didn't do the crime. They simply say there is not enough evidence to CONVICT. They do NOT say "exonerated"... they say NOT GUILTY.

Yes.... And as you said above.... innocent until proven guilty....... which is why Mueller's "exonerate" statement was the biggest bunch of BS I have ever heard... he is not judge and jury anymore than Comey was a prosecutor in the Hillary server scam...both of their statements were out of line.
it is not "maybe innocent until exonerated"... it is "innocent until proven guilty"

And there should be an investigation into the investigators... If Mueller and ilk withheld exculpatory evidence in their investigation... like... I don't know.... maybe a sitting president Obama and VP Biden, along with all the intel community knowing and participating with when Hillary was cooking up a scam Russian collusion story... all documented but never investigated...

TWO WHOLE PEOPLE!!! WOW!!! I bet you can find more conspiracies in the Capital Bar & Grille than that on any given night! (Ever been there? Great view of the Capital... with booze lockers that still hold bottles owned by FDR, Sinatra, and more) GREAT PLACE!

    This isn't about conspiracies.
If it were, all of MAGA would be involved.
That movement only believes and promotes conspiracies.
What some did was try to stop the peaceful transition of power.

Geezuz, they're doing you a favor. All you have to do is dump the Orange Oaf.

Your boy DeSantis is playing his hand about as well as you might hope, so be happy.

You figure they should transfer even more money to the flyover states? I don't have to tell you there are beaucoup analyses of how much each state contributes to the feds.

Trump - gas $2.37 his last day in office
    Biden - $5 gas
Trump - captured ISIS largest city and capital city
    Biden - armed terrorist Taliban
    Trump- secure borders
Biden spends billions defending Ukraine's borders while leaving ours wide open
    the list is endless

No... if CA, NY and other states with outrageous state income taxes managed themelves better and didn't have to levy such outrageous taxes... it would lower their rates, lower the amount folks there could deduct from federal taxes and federal tax rates would fall... that's all

There is a good example of the corruption caused by our vote buying governmental system. There should be no "get back." My system would make it illegal for federal government to give money to a taxing entity unless it was buying something from them. I can see why you don't understand what I was talking about.

You left off recession under trump.
The failure of a leader to rally the country of a common enemy, the pandemic.
Failed leaders should not be given a 2nd chance. Especially one who never takes responsibility.

Trump gave us the vax... it was ready so that Biden could get the needle before he took office. That whole China Virus thing, in retrospect, was pretty political. Trump kept us safe and prosperous... that's all I need from any President.

    So?
We still had a recession. That's how you are able to claim low gas prices.
We still became very divided over the pandemic. Especially over the vax.

    Edit.
I filled up with gas today for $2.89. And no recession.

Gas prices skyrocketed because Biden discouraged fracking, stopped pipelines, increased taxes on oil from wells on federal lands and all but stopped drilling licenses. Here in Texas our governor outlawed the China Virus Mandates so our businesses and schools stayed open, masks were optional, travel unrestricted, etc. As a result our kids excelled in school, our businesses thrived and we put the China Virus behind us. It was very entertaining watching the blue states become "very divided". It was like watching TV from Mars.

You actually don't get it? Really?

Republicans went from 270 House seats in 1928 to 117 in 1932.
See if you can follow this...

    https://www.moneygeek.com/living/states-most-reliant-federal-government/

Mississippi get $2;65 from the feds for every tax dollar while California gets $0.65.
You keep making the same mistake.
States like Mississippi would be screwed and California would be laughing to the bank. Maybe you'd like this...

    EBA181CC-AC85-4E6F-BF16-F23E29BED6EA.png
Pols have always bought votes. Our first big infrastructure projects were canals, then it was railroads...
I'm not a Republican because they want to make abortion illegal and have been that way since 1980. I will never support a candidate that wants to push pregnant women around.
Uh huh. I favor school and medical vouchers (a la the late Senator Coburn).
For someone who has thought things through, you have a lot of misconceptions about how the economy works.
I'm dissatisfied with the feds, state and local governments. I taught school and favor school vouchers. You seem to think local government is efficient. It isn't.

My mother was mayor of a city when I was in high school. I've been watching government for a very long time.

I paid $2.89 for gas today.
    So fracking is back?
    Pipelines open?
    Taxes reduced?
Biden undid everything you claim he did.
