…“The Fake News is actually trying to convince the American People that I said I wanted to “terminate” the Constitution,” he began on Truth Social.

This is simply more DISINFORMATION & LIES, just like RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA, and all of their other HOAXES & SCAMS. What I said was that when there is “MASSIVE & WIDESPREAD FRAUD & DECEPTION” as has been irrefutably proven in the 2020 Presidential Election, steps must be immediately taken to RIGHT THE WRONG. Only FOOLS would disagree with that and accept STOLEN ELECTIONS. MAGA!”, he added.

Trump has a point. The media has always twisted his words to fit “their” narrative, just like with Russiagate and the many other lies they pushed…

rump is right. The lamestream fake news media needed to be called out on their lies. They have lied non stop about him since he announced his campaign in 2015.

    Really?

    Then who wrote THIS?

The OP... that's not "setting the record straight". It's not even "backtracking". It's outright denying reality!

And you fell for it? Amazing!

The daily gaffes from Biden are just as bad. And, you have to admit, the left wing controlled media will take any word Trump says and twist it for their own meaning just like you are doing yourself.

If someone hates a person enough, they will create their own truth when in reality, it is all just fantasy in their heads. Some sort of Trumpism Psychosis.

People need to go see a psychiatrist over the crap they are sheeped into believing.

No! No gaffe by ANY President, former President, or even candidate to the Presidency is worse than somebody saying they want to terminate the Constitution so they can take over power.

Worst part is this is not a gaffe. Trump actually believed this when he wrote it.

Look... there is NO way you can justify this one. Trump is done! If the Republican Party doesn't distance themselves from these comments, they may be done too. At least until Republican memory loss sinks in. It's most likely the worst thing any Presidential candidate has ever said.

You know those on the left are just going to say the liar is just lying. They know what they saw and denying he said what they think he said is just more lies.

Can you tell us the political leanings of the most watch TV news organization? What about the political leanings of the largest Broadcast network (Sinclair Network)?

I do agree with your last paragraph, while left wing partisan media is dying right wing media is thriving — almost like one side has a captive audience that is unable to think for themselves.

Which steps must immediately taken to right the wrong? Terminate the constitution and install Trump as president? Just wondering.

I wonder why supposedly constitution-loving righties can't just come clean and admit that what Trump posted on Truth Social was just plain wrong.

Oh well, it's probably intellectually much easier to just scream: Media bad, Dems bad, fake news.....

Media is bad. Dems are bad and there is fake news swirling around (which redundantly is media bad).

    Typical trumpism.

Say something really really stupid and then say, I didn't mean it. Probably to stupid to know what he says.
But, R's also condemned his stupid words.

    ...
"Well, I think you take an oath to the Constitution, you don’t take it provisionally," said Sen. Roy Blunt of Missouri, a member of Senate GOP leadership who is retiring early next month. "And I can’t imagine that a former president would make that statement."

Asked about Trump's remark, Sen. John Cornyn of Texas, an adviser to Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell, said, "I don't know why anybody would say something like that, certainly not an ex-president. I think that's irresponsible."

What he said was very ill advised and frankly stupid to word that way.

His meaning was obvious... When people disregard the rule of law in regards to elections.... Then the law no longer applies.

But you people run here to misrepresent what he said claiming that he basically said to scrap the entire Constitution all together.

But hey.... By and large the left considers the Constitution a pesky old relic that stands in the way of their agenda so you would think they would support what he said.

To try to deny, based on a technicality, that Trump was calling for the abnegation of our Constitution, is just as condemnable as was the original statement, about disregarding the law, which IS what Trump was calling for. There is no allowance, in our Constitution, to permit for either the re-installment of a former President, or for the rerunning of an election, midway through a current President's term. If Trump is calling for neither of those things, then please explain what steps he's alluding to, which would, "Right the Wrong."

    Also, LOL-- "irrefutably proven."

I disagree with what Trump said. However, I also disagree with the left's interpretation of what he said.

Trump was saying when the Constitution is resulting in an election which is fraudulent, parts of the Constitution should not be followed. I can see his point, but it is the wrong solution. The Constitution is the set of rules which we have to live with. Sometimes those rules will cause results which are unfair. The solution is to conduct the election in such a way that following Constitution will result in a fair election.

*That is a creative re-wording, of yours, and might have been a smarter way for Trump to have put it-- but that's not what he said. First of all, he claimed that "massive & widespread fraud & deception,...has been irrefutably proven in the 2020 election." LOL-- unless his meaning was: the way voters rejected Trump, in 2020, irrefutably proved that they had recognized his own massive fraud & deception.

But then-- and you can recheck the OP's quote, to verify this-- he said that "steps must be immediately taken to RIGHT the WRONG," which is nothing at all, like saying that the consequence of the massive fraud, was simply that the rule of law, had not been applied. In fact, if your own quote, using the present tense "applies," is intended to mean that the rule of law still, "no longer applies," then your alternate version, continues to call for abandoning the rule of law, regarding elections (as prescribed in our Constitution). But there is no doubt, that
this is what Trump must be calling for-- because there are no Constitutional remedies, to immediately Right the Wrong.
So whatever he could have in mind, to do that, would need ignore the Constitution.

P.S.-- Very funny, by the way, saying-- in this context, no less-- that it is Democrats, who find the Constitution to be "pesky."

So, where exactly does he advocate destroying the Constitution? Seems to me he's saying the alleged voter fraud was responsible for that
