it did get ended, issue resolved, now let's collect the balloon and find out if it was just some scientist that lost control of it or if it was a spy balloon

I don’t know about that, NORAD tracks Santa Claus and he’s a lot smaller.

We track space junk, a giant balloon should have been a piece of cake.

 

It possibly had an EMP aboard. while unlikely (both that it had one, or that shooting it would cause it to detonate), its not a risk worth taking, shooting it down over ConUS. Better to take it out where a potential EMP would have little or no effect.

The baloons are most likely a test to see if such an attack would be effective. The earth's magnetic feild dampens EMP, thats why EM from the sun doesnt fry everything (except for when solar flares overwhelm us). But the earth's magnetic feild fluctuates depending on both geography and time. The baloons likely have equipment on board to measure magnetic field so an effective EMP attack can be coreographed later. Also they're presumably monitoring our response to it and how weather patterns effect the delivery devices (baloons).

 

What actually did happen is that the balloon got shot down & nobody got hurt.

Your right wing media told you to be upset, so you are. If they had told you to be upset about it being shot down over Montana 'risking American lives' you would have done that to. If it had said nothing you would be quiet.

The guy I was addressing is a Putin supporter. Also a right wing Trump supporter. There are quite a few of those on this forum, though I don't imagine you much care. Funnily enough I don't think there is a single Biden supporter here who supports Putin. If there is I haven't seen one. Guess Putin support tends to come from one side of US politics - he hates all the same people, so its hardly surprising.

Who are these pro-China Biden supporters on this forum? Got names? I can give you a list of Putin supporters or apologists who are Trump fans. Can you do the same for China? Just to help you with definitions, not losing your mind over an alleged surveillence ballon isn't being an 'apologist' for China.
