Cruel as it may sound, sometimes it's easiest to just rip the band-aid off and get it over with. Why subject the civilian populations of both sides to unending war for centuries? Roll in there, wipe them out in a couple of weeks or so, and just be done with it...

And listening to CNN and MSNBC it's all the fault of the Israeli's because their security failed to predict it so of course HAMAS just HAD to attack and start killing civilians and had not Israel simply committed mass suicide and disappeared this would never have happened. So now Israel MUST show RESTRAINT!!!

Ah, I knew it wouldn't take long until the US RW blamed everything on Biden. It must be nice to live in such a simpleton black and white world, where it would be paradise, if Dems didn't exist.

The self-declared Palestinians have for too long supported this and other terrorism and called for the total destruction of Israel and the Jewish people. This was their last straw to reach a peaceful solution which would have insured their self governance. It is time the world supported Israel and that includes the UN in condemning HAMA and the Palestinian's and taking action to end their terrorist STATE.

No, paradise would be one half of the country set aside for Democrats, and one half set aside for Republicans, each with their own separate President and elections, and see which side fares better. I can already tell you which side that would be, at which point the other side would ask for help and we tell them to suck it up and enjoy the fruits of their own policies.....

What about that ole "on his watch" thingy? How did his support for Iran help to PREVENT such a travesty?

FYI, one is not going to "exterminate" all the Palestinians, and BTW, there are thousands of Palestinians that are US citizens living there.

In the West Bank, Israel is not innocent, and in fact is a contention of that issue within Israeli politics.

I think everyone here, including myself, can agree that Israel has indeed encroached too far in the West Bank, and continues to do so. Having said that, even if they ceded those lands back to the Palestinians, it still wouldn't end the conflict. They don't want the Israelis there. Period. And they won't be happy with any other solution than the Israeli removal from what the Palestinians consider to be their country.

I agree the conflict is so deep rooted, neither side seems willing to move on. It is the old hatred that keeps this going.

Let's just give Israel the entire state of Montana. There's only like 37 people living there anyway. Problem solved. We've been giving them billions of dollars for years, and they could become taxpaying citizens like everyone else...

I see. So you think if Hamas didn’t exist, Palestinians would be happy with the state of affairs and there’d be no more violence?

As long as conflicting religions exist there will be violence. That is the root of the problem....

Depends on who you mean by 'they'? Some ragtag group of 30 or more people? Yeah, they happened. Affiliated with the government or more broadly the GOP/Trump? No such links were ever discovered much less proven but that didn't stop the gaslighting of the American Public.

That gaslighting is wholly inappropriate for media organizations to do. The freedom of the press comes with the responsibility of the press. Through 2016-2020, the media lied to the American people on multiple instances of important fact. Substituting the truth with their opinions on the truth.

I listed some of them, the Pittsburgh attack and the Smolett hoax. Using incidences, real or imagined against the elected government, rather than being a basis on which the people can get news and information.

Yep. Reporters stating they were "mostly peaceful" protests..........as everything burned in the background.

I don't understand what this has to do with anything. You said they should be given a shot. They were given a shot and used it to start a war and launch attacks on Israel from a closer distance. Maybe they should be given "another" shot?

Personally, I disagree that a country should be rewarded for starting a war. Time needs to pass and these settlements need to prove that they actually want peace. That means quantifiable and tangible changes need to happen. Outsiders shouldn't impose their politics on Israel when it's the lives of its citizens at risk.

It's easy to armchair quarterback the Israeli conflict when the rockets aren't in range of your bedroom. One side wants peace and to be left alone. The other wants to kill people. Until that changes there really can't be much diplomacy when the side that wants to kill people only wants easier access to kill the side that wants peace.

I won't post the video here, but there is a video of Hamas fighters with a young, dead, half-naked Israeli female in the bed of one of their pickups. And from the look of the boots she still had on, she was IDF...
