Ok then, fair enough, can you please give examples of how the blacks deal with the racism which therefore prevents them from getting ahead? Because the way I see it is that the poor blacks can go to college with lower scores than whites.......... why? solely because of the color of their skin. The poor blacks also qualify for financial aid which assists in expenses. As for receiving jobs, well, most corporations have quotas to reach so therefore again, the black or other minority will receive the job over whitey soley because of the color of their skin. So how does racism hold them back?

 

Affirmative Action based on class is relevant. Affirmative Action based on race isn't.

Help the poor regardless of their race.

The wealthy don't need help, no matter what their race is.

I think California actually gives us a window to the future. They actually got rid of Affirmative Action with regard to race.

The percentage of people of mixed races is also increasing, so there may come a point where we all share some cultural ancestry.

True, but many of us were alive and well during Jim Crow segregation. Many were alive when our relatives which lynch because of the color of the skin, or the texture of the hair or the shape of the nose. Thats my point.

If it's okay for Obama to want to purge the "white blood" in his veins, then I'm equally justified in wanting to purge the "English blood" in mine.

What's more, I should be compensated somehow by the English government for what was done to my ancestors. They were systematically raped and oppressed by the English monarchy. I deserve some recompense.

 

Its not uncommon for biracials of African Ancestry to want to only be black. Whites in general don't make much of an effort to embrace biracials as equals. Blacks however treat biracials as members of the family.

As for your beef with the English, knock yourself out.

 

Take it up with the individuals who wronged you. I had nothing to do with it. In fact, my step-father experienced just as much racism and intolerance as blacks did because of his Korean heritage, and nobody ever gave him any special treatment, nor has he asked for any. Maybe that's why he succeeded in life.
