Former Democrat Congressman Artur Davis is considering dumping the Democrat Party and running as either an Independent or as a Republican. Davis is BLACK, and recently he is now at odds with the extremist Democrat party regarding voter ID. Davis is in FAVOR of voter ID. In Alabama it is difficult to run as an Independent, and the Alabama Republican Party is not keen on party switchers. However, if Davis is serious about the switch, look for the Alabama Republican Party to immediately jump on this one.

Davis has woken up, he has seen the Democrat party for the extremists socialist party they are. You see everyone, Allen West has woken up more black people than you think. Now, in spite of the LIES and SMEAR camaign against Herman Cain, there have been advances in the black community. People, this is just the beginning of black Americans defecting from the the Democrat Party and seeing what the Democrats are really all about!!!

He has recently given campaign contribution to Republican candidates. It is great knowing that while this is just one case, this is the beginning of many more cases like this to come. Expect the Republican party to jump on this one!! This is just the beginning of the Democrat Party having to fight to hold on to the black vote. The awakening has begun!!! This is a great way to start off 2012!!

If he does switch to the GOP, Leftninnies will immediately seek to discredit his Official Leftninny Blackness Credentials, ignorant of the fact that the first black man to EVER SERVE IN CONGRESS was ALSO a REPUBLICAN.

Groky, you have a good grasp on reality, so are you telling us, in all truth that the Reformation candidates were Republicans? Oh wait, the concept of it destroys the alternate reality liberals try to sell now... Thanks for bringing up that point of HISTORY!!! Those bastards still don't have the power to slay REAL HISTORY...

We don't want him in the Republican Party. That fool is on video fighting the regulation of Fannie and Freddie.

Blacks have let the dems victimize them for way too long. Why should they settle for being controlled and used by the dems? Enough-

Well I agree with him on having an ID to vote. I think the Democrats are totally wrong in apposing it. Having an ID makes people's life much simpler, not putting a burden on them. A burden is going through life not having one. Democrats just want the opportunity to have illegals vote and they know it.

That being said, Davis is wrong switching Parties. That isn't fair to the people who voted him into office. This is a Republic and his duty is to vote the way he believes his constituents want him to vote.

You know what, I like you, you seem to have the right of things, but an ID is essential for daily living for anyone that lives within the boundaries of law. My ID expired a few months backs, I couldn't even draw money from my account because of it, and I've been a 'customer' for a decade or more.... The idea of not needing an ID for civil purposes is simply ridiculous or worse just (*)(*)(*)(*)ing stupid, I know my last voting place made me give an ID to vote, and it actually seemed... natural.. maybe i'm (*)(*)(*)(*)ed up, but I couldn't see a problem with it....

Thank you. Even though I'm a Republican, I always try and look at both sides of the situation and decide what's fair, not what my Party believes in. That's for these officials to do. I'd be happy if they did away with parties.

Well I'll tell you, I'm a purist type conservative, so we may well disagree, but the only thing we will disagree on how much 'righter' we are, because going left will kill us all! lol...

Giving ID to VOTE needs to mandatory, the founder's started and perpetrated a revolution, do you really think they CARED about the 1/3 of the population that was indifferent? oh no, they didn't, but they killed the other 1/3 that supported the crown... Trust me, I love the Founder's, to death, I'd die for MY Constitution, any day...showing an ID to vote, is hardly a sacrifice....

I'd be willing to bet if we didn't have parties, that our representatives would vote a lot different than they do now. I bet people would think a lot different than the do now too. People are followers.

I'm not far to the Right. I disagree with most Republicans on this board about not buying a GM or Chrysler vehicles because they got bailed out. That hurts our country. I will agree with them that it would have been better letting them file bankruptcy though. But many on here would hurt our country because of that. That isn't right no matter how you look at it.

Or, Or, Or, maybe he is switching parties because he got his azz handed to him by Terri Sewell!

And about voter ID: hundreds of millions of votes have been cast in past few years with less than hundred of proven voter fraud cases, none of which would have been prevented by voter ID laws. So conservatives and *********s can rant about "voter fraud" all they want. However, every non-right-wing loon can easily tell why they want to pass voter ID laws: to suppress the poor, black and old's votes.

Lol...Do these people ever think before putting their right foot in their mouths?
They were warned in the second post about the facts, but they have continued to prattle on all day mindlessly without a clue.

You are suppressing the poor, Black and old by not having an ID card. You know (*)(*)(*)(*) well you can't do hardly anything without one. How does the old put in for Social Security benefits without one? How does the poor get on welfare without one? How can you cash a check without one? There are many things that require you to have one and voting should be one of them.

Many voter fraud cases is never caught because most votes are not looked at unless the vote is close. Many mail in votes are never even counted unless the vote is close. So come off with that crap of hurting the poor, old or Blacks by making them get an ID. Most have to have one anyway. If they don't, it's making their life that much harder.

It is one thing for Voter ID and I really have no problem with it, but it is unnecessary to have a separate ID. All drivers license are Homeland Security certified. Utility bills are used to identify residnce, et al.

So I have no problem to check one's ID, but it is certainly a waste of taxpayer money to duplicate another process. How unefficient does one want to push their govt.

Remind me: about what facts are you now caterwauling? You just took up fellow leftist celica's post as though it is a fact, when it is pure speculation?

    Help us out here.

Government issued ID costs $$ and believe it or not, a lot of people can't afford it. Reports show that blacks, Asian and other minorities are much more likely to not have a government issued ID.

About voter fraud, here is an example: ratio of proven voter fraud cases to total votes is 0.0002% in Wisconsin! Odds of getting hit by lightning is 576000 to 1! this means the odds of getting hit by lightning is almost the same as casting a vote fraudulently! Are you right winger going to pass legislations to require everyone to wear a lightning arrestor on their heads?!

    http://www.truthaboutfraud.org/case_studies_by_state/wisconsin_2004.html#more

Needless to say, voter ID laws are pushed by conservatives to suppress "specific" group of people's votes and disfranchise them, you know it, I know it, and every one with a functioning brain knows it. So, let's just cut the crap and admit it.

Maybe it's a coincidence, but Herman Cain was considered to be the perfect antidote to Obama because he is Black, descended from American slave lineage, and, of course, a Conservative. Dr. Alan Keyes, another very intelligent, highly qualified Black candidate for the presidency was a threat to hyperlib Demos who feel that the race-card is theirs and their alone to play. He was denigrated and dismissed by the liberal Left media as being a "kook" and "on the fringe" (which is the smear they use against anyone who is a genuine threat to their agenda).

Did anyone else notice that the "fast and furious" attacks on Cain's character started immediately when he became the Republican front-runner, and stopped immediately when he ended his campaign? I'll always be amazed at liberal hypocrisy that looked the other way when Bill Clinton was "getting his wick wet" with other women, but loudly proclaimed it to be such an astounding, earth-shaking crime when Cain may have enjoyed the same things....

So, to Democrats, the only good Black is a hyperlib, socialist Black with a clinched left fist raised in "righteous indignation" against "The Man", and a government welfare check clinched in the right fist? Hey, it's worked well to guarantee Democrats the Black vote since the 1960's, and they don't want anything to upset their apple cart....

“We now know and have been able to trace [Sexual Harassment charges] back to the Perry campaign that stirred this up, in order to discredit me and slow us down.”
    -Herman Cain

"Rick Perry and his campaign owe Herman Cain and his family an apology."
-Herman Cain's campaign chief of staff

    I did not know Perry was a "Hyperlib"...Weird! :-D :-D :-D
