It would be NICE if Whoopie Goldberg actually was Nice.
But she ain't.Her actions,words and sneers are proof.
One can't make up her attitude.She did that all by her lonesome
with a liitle help form Gelt Hollywood.
She was needed in Hollywood to portray the Angry Black comic.
She was given extentuating poetic license to call anyone anything
she felt,without a shred of penalty let alone conscience.
In this she is unique.A bitter black woman who was a heroin
addict { who even knows that } that got a gig in Hollywood
and was used as the new Token black.
Afforded roles and language way beyond her abilities.
Was lucky.The public was in need of this kind of stereotype.
Don't forget she played the Hollywood Valley Girl in her
standup routine which obvioulsy impressed Gelt Producers.
Therefore the name Goldberg.

 

I don't have psychic powers, I just think about what someone has said to make sure they were not misinterpreted, instead of immediately assuming the worst.

What she meant was: Consensual sex between a teenager and an adult is not as bad as, or the same as, forced sex between a teenager and an adult.

She simply wondered whether the confession Polanski made was true, whether he didnt lie for a lesser sentence.

 

There's NO Defense for Polanski.That's the point.It's a simple case of an
adult in Society is supposed to act like an Adult.There is NO room for
interpretation.Adults by law are no supposed to have sex with minors.
That's the Law.Society's Law,God's Law and just common sense fer

Polanski as an adult is supposed to protect and watch over a minor
not exploit and manipulate { give them wine and a Quaalude } so as
to loosen them up for anal sex.Which is exactly what he did.
Leave it to the Clown Goldberg to pop her Racist mouth off as if she's
making a valid mouth all the while how dare anyone question the
Great Whoopie.
This is a societal problem.Hollywood created this Bigmouth Goldberg.
Because it was seen as kinda cute.Take an uneducated former junkie
with a cartoon face and a lot of inner rage and use it in a political fashion to
addresses liberal issues in a nonconformist way.
Goldberg is defening Polanski in her little way because that's her role.
If Polanski was an American Director or supported Republican causes
the Whoopie would be all over his case like ants at a picnic.I have no
doubt at all about that.This is a case of the Whoopie defending a liberal
colleague in the Hollywood entertainment field because that is who
created her.The Liberal machine in Hollywood.

 

I am no great fan of Whoopie, and think she is slightly overrated. Something nice to say....Ummm' I liked her in Star Trek: The Next Generation especially in one of my favorite episodes ie Time's Arrow. Hows that?

3) raped her and

I remember in the other thread about Polanski, you even blamed the victim and her mother for what Polanski did to her...... yeah, let's not hold someone accountable for their own criminal behavior - just blame the victim and people who weren't even there at the crime scene. If you had a choice of, say, 10 years in jail if you admitted to a crime you didn't commit, or life if you were found guilty by a jury, which would you choose?

The mother is very much at fault. She had allowed her 13 year old to get drunk on previous occasions and to have sex with her older boyfriend. The kid even knew what drugs she was being given, and what effect they would have on her, yet she took them anyway.

No mother would ever allow their child to go home alone with a man who was 20 years older.

She was funny in "Gimmie A Break."

 

That was one of the worst roles ever played by anyone on all of the star trek shows besides perhaps Wesley Crusher. Didn't she play the bartender? Truly that role had to have been created for her. What are we gonna do with Whoopi? She can't be a regular crew member, she is too out of shape. You practically had to write a scene in the bar so that we can get Whoopi into the episode. And everytime I watched that show and she showed up on it I couldn't help but think what is a really bad stand up comic from the 20th Century doing in the 24th Century?

Holy cow..... you'll come up w/anything to protect a sexual predator. And there was a woman in his home at the time which would make a parent and the teen herself feel she was safe, but Polanski got the girl alone in his big house.

And btw, wasn't Polanski 44 yrs old when he did this? The girl was no more than 14? Do the math........

What is there to question? Everyone knows the facts that he was 44 and the teen was 14 and he admitted in court to feeding the teenager alcohol, drugs then raped and sodomized her - then he fled the country and stayed gone for 30+ yrs.
