Good time to ride before a rain, something about the air. WOW, that was one hell of a tea party at Washington, racists everyone of them,,,,HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHH
You really should try painting.it is a wonderful outlet. Teaches observation skills like nothing else. Writing is truly a gift that not many have or can acquire. When you have the ability to put your imagination on paper, with words that is truly a gift.
Yes, I did and the sad part it is really not that good... I would say my talent is on the low end of the scale, honestly....
My LT in Iraq was the coolest though. He could take command of the battle, but he always listened to us. After we redeployed, he invited the NCOs to his house for a going away party. Most of us were ETSing or PCSing. We had a lot to drink, as I'm sure you can imagine. Anyway, when I was leaving he stood there on his sidewalk and saluted me until my wife had gotten us all the way down the street out of sight. It literally brings a tear to my eye. We are still friends to this day. He is now a CO. When he was an FNG we used to give him hell though. :D
My neighbor is 74 years old and just rode it for the first time. He has a Honda 750 that is real sweet. Now he has the Dragon patch on his vest and a Dragon sticker on his rear fender. :D One cool old man.
Congratulations on getting commissioned. I would have loved to have been a Commander, but I didn't have the ambition. I was satisfied with being an NCO. It is a very fulfilling job to lead young men and help them establish their way in life. I am most proud of the fact that I led my team on hundreds of combat patrols in one of the worst sectors of Baghdad without a casualty. The worst thing that happened was my SAW gunner hit his shin on the ramp of the Bradley while mounting up at night. My oldest son has shown an interest in the military at 15 years old. Maybe he will do what I did not. I advised him to go for SF. But, I know him well enough to know that he will not do what I suggest. He's a typical teen.
If you are ever down in East TN, check out the Dragon. http://www.tailofthedragon.com/ But please do not try to tame it. The dragon will take your life if you try.
He just replied, and looks like it's a loss. Oh well. Keep trying. LT? lmao, You stand at parade rest for me! I am the SGT. You do know the difference between an LT and a PFC right? The PFC has been promoted twice. :D
I read through some of it, which is why I stayed out of it...lmao THX for the kind words though. I am the dummy with my muzzle on my toe. :omfg:
