Common sense, it comes from being aware of ones surroundings. Ron Paul makes some outstanding comments. Ones I totally agree with, enough so that I can ignore the statements he makes that I disagree with. However he has NO general appeal. His strength is with the very young voter, the least educated voter, and the lower income voter. All 3 groups have every right to support whomever they wish. However, those 3 groups historically DO NOT come out and vote. And the primaries so far have borne out that history.

In our county that is slightly more Democrat than Republican, of the total political contributions so far.
Romney has collected 48% of the money. Gingrich, 20%. obama, 15.8%, And Paul 3.6% of the contributions.

Paulobots may hate this simple FACT, but money is what fuels the campaign bus.

Maine was a message. Santorum and Gingrich did not campaign in Maine. Paul campaigned hard in Maine.
Romney arrived in Maine the day before the caucuses, the DAY BEFORE. Paul had what WAS called a strong organization in Maine. Romney WON on one day's campaigning, Paul got LESS than 2000 votes.

WHERE was Paul's strong support? 2200 votes would have given him his first WIN. They stayed home.

This is where 'common sense,' comes from, acknowledging reality.

Paul TALKS a great Crusade. Paul does not LEAD a great Crusade.

He's going to end up winning because the GOP can't field a sensible candidate. If the choices are between a tax dodging panderer, a theocrat and a philanderer, then I get the feeling a lot of folks are going to vote "none of the above"

The economy is improving; on that alone he should win; however, all of the spending will hurt him in November. He has to take steps to at least show that curbing it is on the agenda.

The economy is improving? Where is proof that any obama policy had any effect on the economy? Economies SELF CORRECT given enough time. And this economy has had more than enough time. What the clown fool incompetent b.o. has done is impede the recovery, not cause it.
Ignorant liberals are still trying to claim that the Stimulus has finally worked. The Stimulus FAILED and died 2 years ago. Millions of Americans determined to succeed in spite of an idiotic govt are driving the slow recovery now. If govt would get out of the way real, rapid, recovery could happen.

I have no doubt he'll get reelected after seeing who'll likely be against him in the GOPper Primaries.

It's gonna be Obama vs. Clueless Fool or multi-millionaire

You have a point. I don't make my living estimating probablities. On average those who do that are better at it than I am. I just think that in this case they have underestimated a particular probability (Obama's reelection).

Obama got elected because the economy was crashing and he basically had no real record to stand on. However, the voters showed their disapproval in the 2010 elections and it is clear now that there is a myriad of things to attack him on now.

For these reasons I would say that Obama is toast and has no chance of winning. But then I remember "W" was elected twice, and had very similar policies of unrestrained spending and entitlements with no way to pay for it all. Americans simply can't get enough it seems.

I guess it is a toss up and will depend on the economy come November. Can Obama prop up things enough economically till November? My guess is no, but then, I could be wrong. I do know one thing and that is if Obama some how wins another term, at the end of it they will be ready to linch him like they were "W".

Lies about Obama stink too. When such an ineffectual president can only be criticized with lies it stinks of low intelligence, prejudice and malice.

If the country had a brain, obama would be soundly beaten,,,,,,and lose the election. But since the nation does not have a brain, it will be close.

Well despite what the "Obama is a commie" morons think who vote on this forum, the bookies have got him at odds on favorite to win. Actually it's because of the "Obama is a commie" morons. A sensible moderate conservative who could criticize Obama's hesitancy and indecision could win. But the GOP is full of rabid extremists sharing a single brain cell and so Obama will be a two term President. Bush was a much better second term president when he swapped his populism for expediency ( including the fact that it was he who started the stimulus which Americans know whatever kindergarten lies Republicans tell). Maybe Obama will do better in the second term too.

With such a low participation in the Republican primaries it seems like Obama has a real chance in winning, especially as he climbs back in the polls.

I really think it depends on what happens. Obama will win if Santorum or Gingrich is the nominee. If Romney wins it depends on how the economy is doing. If Romney wins and not much is different I say it's a 50/50 shot. I personally don't know what I want anymore. I definitely wouldn't vote for Obama, but I wouldn't vote for Santorum either and I'm not sure about Romney. I got excited for Jon Huntsman but after South Carolina I just don't know anymore. =(

Did you hear what Santorum had to say last week? I think Obama will win pretty easily.

Pretty much sums it up right here.

Obama wants to be a little dictator, or a big one I should say. He pretty much laid it out before he was elected and people swallowed that hook, line and sinker.

Gawd, all I've seen at Tea Party rallies is chubby 60+ year old women in too-tight spandex shorts and tattoos on their calves.

I know that doesn't make them unintelligent, but gimme a break on the slovenly part, eh?

Obama will be re-appointed by the "jewish" lobby, yes.

At this stage of the game they need a negro in place because everybody who decries his draconian, unAmerican policies (that have been on the drawing board for 100 years at least) can effectively be called a racist. This will solidify black sentiment that they better get Whitey before Whitey gets them. Plus, they can do a little paying back in the process. And since all minorities have been banding together against the White Gentile Man for a couple of generations now, it won't just be the American negro attacking us. They'll be joined by their African brothers, Mexican immigrants, The Nation Of Islam, etc.

I fully expect Obalmy - the "jews" latest puppet - to nuke an American city as an excuse to declare martial law (Of course he's not smart enough to think of this himself; it will be on orders from his "jewish" masters - the same as 9/11). Then to subsequently outlaw all rival political parties and prohibit further elections. At this point, s/he (former male prostitute) will begin having all opposition murdered or jailed. The "jews" know these strategies work because they worked in France, Russia, and Germany. All formerly Christian nations.

Don't be so stupid to think that when the "jews" take over America they'll just annihilate Moslems. Learn something about their Noahide Laws. To "jews", Christians are also pagans. To be beheaded. Revelation is about to become reality. I feel sorry for all of you who don't believe in Jesus Christ.

Patronize something other than jewsnews, fool. Of course the "jewish" networks won't portray RON PAUL'S GENUINE ORIGINAL TEA PARTY (not sarah palin's "jewish" cheap imitation tea party) in a favorable light. Dr. Paul (are you a doctor?) is about to abolish the Criminal Reserve and its evil handmaiden, the IRS, the "jews" two biggest cash cows.

Since you're on the net google Ron Paul. I'll expect a full report of what you come up with. An unbiased report.

And what do you look like, by the way?

The only thing Dr. Paul is going to do is retire. Someone younger and with more drive than Paul ever had will have to take up Paul's issues and ideas and actually cause some of them to happen. Paul NEVER successfully made even one of his main issues, or ideas, [and I consider them to be mostly GOOD ideas] come into being. Paul has many good ideas and brings up many good and important issues. NOW the nation needs someone to make those issues and ideas HAPPEN. Paul won't,,,,,never has.

I'm sorry but is it right, that someone who calls for terrorist attacks against the government, is still permitted to post on this forum?

Can we have this anti-semitic scumbag criminal (inciting people to terrorism) banned and reported to the approriate authorities please?
