you send me my retirement check electronically. Thank you, by the way... That is really the only thing I "want" from my country right about now, and I earned every penny of it. I'll come back whenever I please and spend some of it in the American economy and I could give a (*)(*)(*)(*) about your "wishes". amf.
The key words are "right now." I'm sure when you think of something else you'll let us know, won't you?
The immediate accessibility to health care is good down there because we have about 12-15 million of their citizens here getting free health care and American jobs. Try going to an emergency room here in the Valley. My brother had to go two years ago and he was in the waiting room for over 16 hours, because of illegals and those who do not have health care. But mostly illegals.
no. I think I'll just fly back and buy whatever it is that I need, visit with some family and friends, and then fly back here to paradise.
Libs like expatriate don't care what happens in America as long as it doesn't inconvenience them in any way.
gosh...if I were you, I'd consider moving someplace where the ER waiting times were a bit less, doncha think? and let's face it.... you have absolutely NO idea what are the drivers for the quality of Mexican healthcare, so maybe you should just keep talkin' about those ER visits in the Valley, mmmmkay?
Like all libs, as long as they get to collect some sort of check from the host body that they leech off of, they couldn't care less.
I care... I have children living there. Nothing you or our government could do, short of defaulting on DoD retirement checks, could inconvenience me in any way regardless.
That's why you really don't care what happens to America. Your kids could always flee across the border and join you if things get too rough here.
my kids have lives and careers in the USA...just like I did. I can't imagine America getting so "rough" that they would want to leave that. I didn't want to leave it, but this place in Mexico beat out all the American competition hands down. I do care about what happens in America... my wife and I always talk about someday returning to be closer to children and - one day - grandchildren... but not now. Now I have got sails that need to be filled with the tradewinds... as Mark Twain said.
Those who refuse to spend their DOD retirement check in America's economy so they can go leech off another countries health care system... while demanding from afar, Americans hand over larger and larger portions of their paychecks to "benevolent" big government statists so they can disseminate it to other parasites... absolutely.
A lot of my DoD check stays in the states... and I pay taxes on all of it, as well as on SS and other retirement checks I get, plus the income from my investment portfolio. I leave a lot of cash on the table back in the US for y'all to grab. And..you mistakenly think that I leech off Mexico's healthcare system. I don't. I pay top peso for every service, and, as a favor to YOU, I don't even bother to send in the paperwork to Tricare Overseas so that they can reimburse me for it. And I make NO such "demands" on my government or my fellow countrymen. I merely vote in national elections. Oh...and you're welcome, btw, for my years of service on your behalf.
No. It wasn't "rough" at all. I merely had the financial wherewithall to move someplace nicer and never have to shovel snow again. It's a fun adventure for now... I have no idea how long it will last. We might be looking at the Outer Banks as a possible alternative... time will tell. and if you think you are "getting to me" with these gratuitous insults, you should give it a rest. I really am not that thin skinned.
I'm sure you get standing ovations from libs who really don't like America very much either. But to most Americans you are just a fair weather patriot. And we're being generous to use the word "patriot" at all with you. Enjoy Mexico but don't bother coming back because you aren't missed.
As I said... I am coming back to Annapolis this fall for my 40th reunion.... My classmates certainly are excited to see me as I am excited to see them. Then we're going to spend a week in the Big Apple where we'll catch a few shows and spend time with the middle son.... HE certainly misses me. My patriotism is certainly not being powerfully displayed in my retirement.... most retirees like to slide away from the drama that serving in harm's way usually entails, but my patriotism was certainly present in fair weather AND foul for a long long time, sonny. I really could care less if anyone other than my family and friends misses me at all, ever. It's actually kind of fun to know that lots of republican clock punchers are having their paychecks deducted a little bit just to pay ME every month. Makes all those lonely midwatches seem more worthwhile!
Well I know it isn't just free health care that drive Americans to live in Mexico. It's also cheap rent, food and cloths
