    There have been many whistleblowers and leaks over the years that all point to letter agencies colluding with these cartels to earn money for their agency's programs. Arrested traffickers have backed this story up. It would explain a largely unlimited budget and reasons why we have made this failing "war" a highly appropriated portion of federal and LOEs budgets.

    The fact is "capitalists" who believe in free market's ability to survive shut their eyes and ears to any mention of why the black market is thriving.

    There is nothing that can be done about drugs. People will find some way to get them, even if they have to create crazy drugs like bath salts. Humans simply choose to alter their state, be it alcohol or something harder.

    Right now, our policies only promote extreme wealth and terror. End the drug war, find a way to tax and regulate it, and it will improve our economy and cut costs by half a trillion.

    Jesus, how many times do we need to explain this.

    The gun running program was stupid, it was stupid when Bush did it and stupid today. The problem with this case, is that we are trying to figure out why the agent was killed with these guns, and why the AG lied to congress about what he knew. Basically we want to know why it is being covered up.

    And please show us where conservatives are on board with allowing felons, drug dealers and drug runners to buy guns? thanks

    The OP is an idiot. I am all for gun control, but's it's the person pulling the trigger that kills someone, not the gun, and that is why we need to do more to make sure that crazies and psychos don't get guns. I sy that a mental exam is needed before you can own a gun. If you fail, you lose your gun rights.

    I have no problem with your thread, attempting to turn the death of a US law enforcement officer into your own political gain. The reason I have no problem with it is your asinine argument is easily defeated: we already do have Gun Control nearly all Conservatives support: we stand in favor of preventing guns from being sold to violent felons.

    What I'm wondering is why the thread started by TheHat about the life-saving surgery on the fetus isn't granted the same courtesy by liberals.

    Why don't you debate this in the Gun Control Section?

    As for gun control at large---do think outlawing certain types of guns is more effective crime control, or severely punishing the thugs who use them in crimes a more effective policy?

    I wouldn't be suprised if you are yet another liberal that cries more for the felons than their victims.

    I think you misread Message to Garcia's statement - unless I misread yours as disagreeing. MTG is saying that it wasn't Conservatives who armed drug cartels to destabilize Mexico.
