if bible god can do "anything" then sure he could convince a non-believer

some believe bible god will wipe their memories of loved ones that did not make it into heaven... if that is the case sounds like free will dies at the gate

I've heard people say the reason he doesn't show himself is because he's testing us..my guess is he don't want to waste his time..

I don't know, if one reads the bible, it would appear bible god doesn't mind wasting time, he tells people to kill their children and then sends someone to tell them he was just kidding...

But you do agree that as far as science is concern, the beginning for us was the Big Bang, right?

In the beginning the heavens and the earth we see today appeared 13.5 billion years ago, so there the same truth in both our science text and out theologians' bible?

You forgot that the Bible says he also created Gentile who act in ways different from the small band of Hebrew patriarchs.
The OT seems to be very honest in describing exactly the behavior the creator instilled in those early Hebrew patriarchs and all patriarchs thereafter, indeed.

Consider trhe present muslim patriarchs who even today dmonstrate the truth about how god created a patriarch.

They are distinct from those Gentiles who are sexually promiscuous, open to homosexuals, li8ke to drink strong wine, and so on.

The wake up call in 32AD seems to have been the insight that God also created both these two kinds of men with the abilkity to be different if they so choose to do.
These men had been endowed with a mind that could see the intent of patriarchs failed to reach the goals such idealism had hoped for.

I trhought he did show himself.

"I am the Truth, and the way"...

We now see "him," Truth, starting with the Age of Enlightenment.
Then we found that the Scientific Method could establish one Truth after another.
Hence we reveal chunks of factual information that concretely and universally, (through peer reviews), let us see the Truth, i.e., the son and image of God.

It is clear to me from Bible study that after Yahowah's sons impregnated human women, people started to get the gist that this Guy was just an extra-terrestrial con artist and not the great, divine being He claimed to be. He then flooded the Earth and left us all for dead once the cat was out of the bag. It's possible that Noah remained loyal to Yahowah and that is why he was spared, but I have also considered that a few crafty humans were simply able to survive the flood. Fearing the awesome power of Yahowah after barely surviving the flood, they continued to worship and build religion around the memories of those powerful alien visitors. The story of those crafty humans just became the Noah's Ark story and they wanted to shape it to make God out to be somewhat sympathetic, even as He wiped out life on Earth, so as not to upset Him again.

It's easy to see that it's going to take a little more than a flood to wipe us out this time. Yahowah and His cronies now fear humans and our ability to piece together our history and reveal His unrequested tinkering with our planet. Just think what a glorious day for mankind it will be when these Guys come back with a big bucket of water, thinking They are going to scare us... only to have several pounds of Uranium-235 shoved up Their asses.

But Yahowah won't come back. He knows what will happen if He does. And for all His cowardice, He is no fool.

The Bible is essentially a camp fire ghost story.

    Why Yahweh hasn't revealed himself:

Option 1: There is no Yahweh
    Option 2: He's bashful
    Option 3: He's dead

You have to admit, though, it could make for a great book/film.

I'm of the opinion that he won't show himself for the same reason Superman hides his identity, or even Spiderman. They do it to protect their family and friends. This way satan doesn't know where to get at him, just like Lex Luther. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if the whole thing is a DC comic book construct going back to Roman times, it all makes sense now.

The vanity of atheists, agnostics, jews, zionists, and all FALSE CHRISTIANS really suprises me sometimes..............you think that YOU are important enough for God to speak to??????????????? WOWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!

I can't believe how vain some of you are. You actually convinced yourselves that God "loves" you???? You need to lay off your New Testament lies and BULL####!!!!! First thing's first, CHRIST may "love" you all, but He is not His Father. God is much more of a hardliner. God doesn't tolerate bull####.

God showed Himself to a whole Nation (the Israelites) and not long after that they turned to worshiping a god they made up.......it is not in man's nature to want to accept the true God, believe it or not......God knows you more than you know yourself.

They turned to an idol because He never really showed Himself. That should be the obvious lesson to take from that.

Yahowah and His pals were LONG gone by the time the Exodus takes place. Sheesh, people, does the Bible really confuse you folks this much?

Should Yahowah show Himself to modern man, He would swiftly meet His doom. We have evolved to be out of His league. Come try to flood us again You weak ass Prick. Or whatever else You got. Punk.

Salvation is by grace and grace alone. Though fiath which is the gift of God. Grace is an action on God's part in which faith is inserted into a human heart that said human can believe God and, as was Abraham, be accounted righteous.

Hmm, do I sense a just a little tad of hostility in that reply? Maybe you might take a little time out to chill? In the mean time you might be interested to know that God talks to most of us in my opinion. Many non-spiritual people and those that have no knowledge of meditation and other such affairs are numbed, or have ignored Gods communication for so long that they may not recognize it for what it is. We all, if we are sane, have what people study such things call an internal dialog (ID). Its not to be confused with the 'id' of Freudian fame. Not all of the ID is God speaking to us IMO, it varies with the individual. Anyway I am sure this reply will get blasted so I am not going to put much time into it. God bless all of you and this forum.
