Your comments about my profession are nothing new. It really doesn't matter to the anti-gun nuts what kind of guns are being sold. The fact that they are being sold at all is what bothers them. Guns are designed for the purpose of killing. It just fascinates me, the irony that most gun control advocates are bleeding-heart liberals instead of god-fearing conservatives, when politically speaking it should be the other way around.

these things are ratcheting up, myself I think it is a combination of frustration and the political partisan rhetoric from the left. On the gun thing, guns were much easier to get prior to 1970 and incidents such as this were pretty rare. I can recall 1incident in the 60s' and that was back when you could order a gun and 1000 rounds of armor piercing ammo from the back of a magazine and it would be delivered to your house by the postal service no questions asked

 

I live 5 minutes from the temple. The sirens have been going all day. Now they have a few blocks cordoned off down the road from me around the suspects house. Neighborhood evacuated. helicopters all around.

I'm going to the local Sweet Applewood festival in a while. Hope that's not cancelled too.

This is so close to home. I wonder if I knew the guy who did the shooting. Our town really is not that bag.

try reading teh post again. I was not referring to this or any other isolated incident I was making a comment on the trend and hwo when there were fewer gun laws when I was a kid and these things were almost non existent. Seems like since 1980 they started racheting up and in the last couple of years they are getting more and more frequent. The otehr thing that has grown is the partisan rhetoric in particular by OWS and a graphic example is the CFA gay marriage thing.Anyway check out this time line and you can see what I mean

You are aware any time people talk about not having an open border they are labeled "racists" as if Mexican was a race.

 

I was watching CNN and several of the people inside the temple were interviewed. The witnesses said it was a 4 man team of shooters, but then the CNN reporters are still saying a lone shooter.

What is everyone else watching and what are they saying?

 

Keep in mind that MAJ Hassan's terrorism ISN'T terrorism. No, it's a tragedy, a shame, a crime, but definitely not terrorism.

 

This shooting is a tragedy. Some of my closest friends are Sikh. Hopefully the perpetrator(s) is/are brought to justice.

 

With the connections he had with proven terrorists, I would disagree. It was terrorism! He should have already been in front of a firing squad!

 

But they wear turbans so they must be the same...[sarcasm off]
