Mass shooting at Sikh Temple in Wisconsin

This witness said that there were multiple shooters. He was also on the phone with his mother who was hiding in a closet inside the temple who told him that "they are still out there".

A gunman opened fire Sunday morning at a Sikh temple outside of Milwaukee, killing six people and wounding at least three others, including a police officer, before being shot to death, authorities said.

The identity of the shooter was not released and his motive was unknown.

"We're treating this as a domestic terrorist-type incident," Oak Creek Police Chief John Edwards said at a late afternoon press conference.
He did not elaborate.

It was not immediately clear why local police were classifying the shooting as domestic terrorism.

US Federal law enforcement officials told NBC News the suspected gunman had no obvious connection to domestic terror or white supremacist groups and apparently was not on any list of suspected terrorists.

The suspect was in his early 40s, and while he had an arrest record, it was for minor offenses, one federal official said.


A police officer responding to multiple 911 calls came upon a gunman outside the temple and was shot multiple times, Wentlandt said.

The gunman shot at another officer, who returned fire, striking and killing the him, Edwards said.
The wounded officer was taken to a hospital where he was undergoing surgery and was expected so survive, Edwards said.

Wentlandt said four bodies were found inside the temple and three, including the suspected gunman, were outside.
He did not identify or describe the victims.

 

Why are we discounting the multiple people inside who had the guns pointed at them? Do we just call them crazy? There is no way that the police could no within these few hours that all of the bullets found in the bodies are from the same weapon.

They won't have the forensics back on the bullets and unless there are cameras in that temple how do we know it is a single shooter? Why aren't we believing the 3-4 people I just watched on CNN saying there was more than one shooter?

They are telling them that there was only 1. WTF? It's the weirdest thing.

Why is the media saying that there was only a lone gunman when witnesses at the scene are telling them that there were several gunmen? This happened two weeks ago with the Aurora CO shooting, when witnesses there also said that there was more than one gunman, yet the media and authorities said that it was only James Holmes that did it.

It isn't a tin foil hate theory when I watch CNN and people inside the building, those people who were shot at are saying it was more than one shooter, ie need to look for multiple suspects.

Immediately after 9/11, conservatives in the southern states were shooting all the habeebs at the convenience stores/gas stations, did not matter if they were muslim or not as long as they wrapped their head or had a long beard.

The gunman apparently confused these siks as muslims, easy mistake.

So what we have again, is a conservative who promote gun rights and hate muslims, or those who appear to be muslims. This guy fits their profile perfectly.

Who said the police are lying. They are not completly investigating it. You do not start an investigation by ignoring eye witnesses!

 

IIRC there's a deep seated hatred between sikhs and muslims.
