That doesn't excuse the human rights abuses by the Chinese. http://www.hrw.org/news/2000/06/12/human-rights-violations-tibet

You did until the Iraqis chucked them out. And what has democracy to do with anything. In Iraq or the US?
If not mistaken, we said many years ago, we would leave Iraq if the government asked us to leave. Iraq was in no position to chuck us out. If we said that and left, it goes against you calling us an empire. We don't rule over any country The Iraqi people will hopefully for the first time in decades have a right to govern themselves. Much like we have done to every nation we have fought and won. If we allowed them their freedom, that sort of goes against you calling us an empire county.
Well geez man...we just gotta go bomb somebody!!! Cash flow is terrible in the US. It'll start freeing up once we start bombing somebody...anybody!
Although China is not racially diverse, it's quite culturally diverse. Today, there are over 50 distinct ethinic groups in China. Different by way of languages, culture and religion. The Han Chinese, are just one ethnic group and the majority ethnic group, are culturally different from say the Naxi, Miao, Hmong-Mien, Tibetans and the Caucasian Uyghurs. Then throw Mongols, ethnic Koreans, the Tai-Kadai speaking people, the Sino-Tibetan speaking people etc into the mix and you have a very diverse range of ethnicities.
No, it goes off half cocked stating that China has never been an aggressor, then Tibet is brought up as example, and all it can come up with is"blah blah 13th century." Guess what Sherlock, Tibet was an independent nation when they were invaded by China. Spin some lame ass excuses again.
I don't think she was arguing that China is a good guy in the situation, and I certainly wasn't trying to. My point is that a historical conflict with a neighbor country that at times has been occupied doesn't actually point to a tendency for China to be aggressive towards the US - for one thing China's leaders are business leaders as much as political dictators, and it's actually not in their interest to invade their biggest business partner, they've been more active in promoting stability between the powers than the US. This is just a case of people seeing China as a giant scary squid because they're expanding and will soon surpass the US in global influence.
I cant wait until the US loses its power and Indonesia invades and conquers Australia and NZ. The tears are going to be EPIC.
Indonesia would probably do a better job than our current little dictators anyway :3 Honestly, I'd probably help them in their endeavors if they'd expropriate that fat cow Gina Rhineheart's mines and business assets. If our "leadership" had any brains they'd dump the US and back China.
The Chinese are too smart to (*)(*)(*)(*) of the international community by invading countries as the Yanks are fond of doing. And they don't need to. They quietly work with other countries to obtain, and pay for, the natural resources they need. Both the US and the UK have a long history of grabbing resources, especially oil, by force. Ask any Arab.
