The French have been pissed for years that they cant even win their own race and have been licking their lips to get at Armstrong for awhile now.

I live half a mile from his home, less than two from the gym.
I've watched Lance and his crew out training in 108 temps going straight up hills that would kill the average joe.

What kind of stupid ass sport lets a guy win 7 years in a row, than decides like 6 years later to claim he failed tests.

 

2 out of 58 athletes have proven their case against the USADA bureaucrats.

If 14 years of negative/no positive drug tests at the time of the races (something that others who were stripped of their TdF titles can not claim) don't prove him innocent then there is nothing. As has been said, in days past, many athletes in many fields used steroids.

Lance was retired ... and still they came after him, with rumors from competitors but no evidence.

It's a disgrace, and yes, a witch hunt.

Someone else asked earlier, who cares ... well ... around these parts, we care. We've invested a ton of tax money for bike routes because his gravitas built an entire industry here.
Now what? what happens to the next generation of cyclists (many who train right here) and of our investment in that?

 

Regardless of what I think of Lance Armstrong or the allegations, I don't support taxpayer funded sports.

 

So if those positive test samples existed why did they continue to let him participate?

It seems like they've had a hard-on for Lance since '96 and that they've kept harassing him for the past 16 years. An angry man would have busted some caps on them by now, like the guy in NYC did to his former boss today.

I think that they were just trying to bankrupt him by constantly bring charges. He was cleared on them in the past and as soon as he tells them to go F themselves they declare that he's guilty on everything. That's just wrong. They're all going to that lake of fire touted by Jesus.

As for the 8 years, some of the results are well within 8 years.

 

i don't either. I wouldn't want to pay for someone else's sports training and i'd never (never did) ask anyone to fund my kid's dreams and goals. That's not the best reason though. The Fed use our money and act as if they are the benefactor. What strings would they attach. It wouldn't benefit the taxpayer but rather the Feds. I Don't trust them.

He gave up the fight easily enough. No way would I let them take my medals away if I was innocent. I don't think they can prov that he was clean all those years ago, so its probably best they took his medals away and banned him.
