1937 - Republicans were crying about excessive debt levels and to balance the budget.

No. It's pretty much meaningless and it was orchestrated by the America hating right to attempt to discredit the President.
    Epic fail on their part.

What has happened is economic activity has become CRIME-PAYS FIAT.

Inflation is constant, while cartels have really made inroads, into all media, replacing simpler gangs. Criminal street gangs and prison gangs still exist, of course. Heard of the drug war?

Wilson signed the Harrison Act, but he vetoed the Volstead Act, to be over-ridden. The importance of these bills is constant, since they defined the deflection of freedom and enterprise, to subsidized, hegemonic corruption, as a shadow-cartel-run false industry, which today commands private prisons and courts of fraud and a vast deficit spending program, seldom attacked, in corrupt media.

Wars and tyranny imposed themselves, on economies of scale, relative to valuable production, since the US was an island hegemon, susceptible, to corporate-affected organized crime. Uneven enforcement became big business. Lawyers stank, in 1937, but NOW? They be stinky, with 450,000 elected creeps and millions of bureaucrats, mostly sold out, to AIPAC and prison cartels.

The real direction of Prohibition was to attack fuel alcohol, not drinking, PERIOD. The petroleum industry was just getting going, in the early 20th Century. But FDR and the Democrats repealed Prohibition and the Volstead Act, so petroleum was entering a crisis.

Worse, along came a hemp processing machine, which Popular Science reported, as media, which would shortly make hemp the number one cash crop, in the US (and the world). So Andrew Mellon and W.R. Hearst got their timber and oil money, bought FDR (you'll never convince me the Democrats didn't sell out), and the D-rat Congress passed the Hemp Stamp Tax Act of 1938, in 15 minutes, whereupon FDR slammed a signature.

US export of drug war nonsense has stymied agricultural development of CO2-neutral biomass, since 1938. Of course, when the HSTA was declared unconstitutional, Nixon founded the DEA, in 1972, despite US peak oil passing, in 1970.

FYI: HEMP is how we get seed oil, ethanol, methanol, and pellet fuel, with 25,000 market leading products. All other crops are crap, by comparison. For CO2-neutral biomass, we will also need ALGAE and SWITCHGRASS, which are only starting to get around, in the US. But the hemp laws are really damaging the planet and our economy, by forcing CO2 up, around a bubble, with false value and corrupt administrations, on top.

FDR didn't end The Great Depression, EVER. WWII ended this. FDR made sure WWII was in doubt, since he arranged, with Gen.George Marshall, to suppress all intel, into Pearl, see Robert Stinnett, DAY OF DECEIT. This included all British warnings AND de-coded IJN messages, which the US Navy had, and then Pearl failed to alert, when the USS Ward sank a mini-sub AND radar contact with the 1st wave was suppressed, 12/7/41.

The 2400 dead was the worst US false-flag outcome, since the USS Maine blew up, from a coal-dust explosion, but the worst overall was 911, when GW Bush wanted to invade Afghanistan (Condi testimony), and when the Brits, Mossad, and Pakistanis warned of a September 2001 attack, GW memo'd the CIA and FBI to stand down, at sharing intel, resulting in 3400 dead.

THEN GW wanted OIL, so he ignored Hans Blix, Scott the UN inspector, and the CIA, which said Saddam had no yellowcake or WMDs, to recruit a lying Iraqi, per Op.Curveball, and then GW, Cheney, John Bolton and whoever lied, to Congress and the rest of the world, to get two wars.

The US failed to secure ordinance, GW disbanded Iraq's miltiary, and the US privatized Iraq's oil. The resulting insurgency was also fueled, by the fact that former CIA asset Saddam was a secular, minority Sunni, ruling a Shiite majority, similar to the Bahrain situation, where is the US 5th Fleet.

The US also supports the invasion of Palestine, by Zionists, which is abetted, by suppression of all even enforcement, of all laws, including the separation, standing army, enumeration of powers clauses, USCA 4, 5, 14, and US Codes and all applicable statutes. The courts are of fraud.

Profiteering is rampant, amidst a lot of unnoticed cartel activity, which must fail, one day, since all the bogus programs and unwise funding has ballooned up a lot of inflation, on top of a completely fraudulent economy, jammed with derivatives and any sort of SCAM, which any criminal or elected official or appointed bureaucrat might devise.

VALUE has failed, so the currency can't produce. The land and water holdings are jeopardized, since FDR's sellout of CO2-neutral biomass has led to an American-driven fossil-fuel craze, so not only is hemp a Schedule I CS, crank, crack, smack, and George Zimmerman's Adderall are all Schedule II CS, see where this is going?

The economy is bogus-on-bubble. But worse, any time atmospheric CO2 concentration rose partly this fast, and BTW, CH4 and industrial GHGs are rising faster, than ever, the Earth suffered one of five mass extinctions.

So the governments, corporate media, and the UN are all hedging and fudging, pretending carbon trading will work, against a developing Mass Extinction Event 6. All the controversy is wasteful, since we will lose desirable ocean species, in a blink, as oceanic acidification only has to take out the ocean food web, for a couple of years, to let jellyfish take over.

When the Arctic ice melts, every year, and GHGs are even MORE off the hook, warming and sea level rise will accelerate. We'll be dead, but so will somebody's kids, you know?

This will happen, if we don't get some VALUE, however we get that. We don't get to fund 25% of the world's prisoners, with 5% of the world's population, and have a load of freaks all want to go fight Muslims, for oil and Jesus and Israel! The carbon footprint needs to get cut.

We need an Equal Rights Amendment, at square one. We need even enforcement of laws and rights. But we don't get THAT, from administrations. We get SCAMS and oink, oink.

From corporate media, we get Kardashians and bad news. They suppress the US has been bugging, a LOT more, than most of you realize. Got classic rock and funk and punk? OK, you won't be hearing a lot more, of that, since it was all stolen and duped, note-for-note.

The radical Muzzies are one up on us, at page one, of the Qu'ran, and they hit again, by banning music. I don't know where they think they are going, with shooting women, but hey. They seem to be trying to tie up the western hegemon, however they do that.

I would avoid trouble, with any religion, which has reason, to despise Israel, which as Zionism has been starting trouble, in the area of the Sea of Galilee, since the eruption of There and the stoning of Moses, some 3500+ years ago, see Old Testament.

I would start cutting religionist access, to due process, cutting fraud on court, cutting false flag ops, cutting egregious prosecutions, cutting psychiatry, cutting fraudulent defense, but that drug "war?" HEY, Mrs.Reagan and cottage tyrants and petroleum magnates and gangs and cartels!

We LOST the drug war, already, so we can make like smarter Germans, and blow up Hitler, with enough C-4, finally, or we can blow our noses and watch our currency fail, while the BRICS nations start up their own world bank and own what's left of us, and today's Germans take us out, with a Euro, undermined by the same inflation bubble, which can take out the dollar, right as the environment really starts to fail.

FYI: We won't be headed to an ice age. We have enough CO2 and other GHGs, to keep too warm, for a couple of hundred thousand years, ALREADY. We are partly doomed, to repeat a part of history, which sees temperatures rise, to an average, above 22 C, while sea levels rise, up to 70 m, and oceanic acidification and sudden heat waves can wipe out all desirable fish, IN A WEEK, or in a couple of years. Either way, water life forms completely fail, where we are headed, IF CO2 keeps forcing temps and acidification.

If the CO2 gets joined, by SO2 and NO2, hey! Don't eat the acid, since you won't be eating FISH. They'll die.

So I would smarten up. Brains and thinking may not be too valuable, in the bubble-economy, since cunning and offshore stash is doing so well, but hey! In a geologic second, we are going to hell. What kind of hell that will be will be determined, by how fast a LOT of people can smarten up.

We need some VALUE. Got any, which hasn't been stolen, already? Post a tip, here. Bubbles pop, you know.

Our current debt situation is different today. We have a huge amount of obligations to pay because of our entitlement programs (I'm not whining about it, just stating a fact).

An enormous amount of debt is bad for a nation like ours because eventually we won't be able to pay for all of our programs. Slowly but surely (if debt gets too far out of control) the government will have to stop paying its obligations. When people don't get their promised health care or social security then they begin to riot. Sooner or later you end up with a government like Greece and it collapses.

Just because the government hasn't collapsed yet doesn't mean we should encourage more irresponsible spending and debt hiking. That's absolutely ridiculous... The issue is one of the most important issues of the next generation.

Seems like the only time that the Democrats have whined about debt levels was during Bush II.

The only time the right ever noticed the debt levels was during President Obama.
The right is responsible for 80% of the debt by the way.

So the solution, according to you conservatives is to stop paying, which is what they did in Europe, and it didn't work, as you have pointed out.
So explain how it will work here.

Democrats don't have to cut the drug war, since they invented it, under Wilson and FDR.

The toughest D-rats get, is Jimmy Carter, on TV, c. 1978: "Maybe it's time we re-legalized marijuana," in reference to cars, lined up around the block, waiting for gasoline.

You see, Jimmy was an Annapolis grad, who is a nuclear systems engineer. He is smarter, than every last President, but "MAYBE" isn't what he should have said. The current Democratic President smoked more kine, than any President, since Washington and Jefferson, but can he lead an attack on Schedule I CS? Not this term.

Turns out, hemp was all set, to be the number one cash crop, in the world, when Andrew Mellon, W.R.Hearst, and whoever got up the money, to buy the Hemp Stamp Tax Act of 1938, from FDR and the Democrats, who had already dinged us, with Prohibition and the Harrison Act, under Wilson.

So Democrats aren't going to orient, toward sensible fiscal policy, at any time! Mr.Obamney will just copy Obamneycare, in a hurry, since he knows the Tea Party will hammer the Democrats, but they won't hammer the drug war OR fracking, so the Democratic Party sellout of 1938 is safe, given the pubs take the House, 2010.

What part of SENSIBLE budget cuts are any Democrats OR Republicans about? Not too many. I don't see any administrators wanting to simultaneously cut CO2 emissions AND spending. Can anybody play Chinese Checkers?

Hey! You have to line up your marble, with the pathway, to the center. Doink!

Can anybody see, how humans BOTH cut CO2 respiration, while avoiding cyclic CO2 media, while burning everything AND sequestered CO2 media? Doink!

Naturally, all KINDS of people are having real trouble, figuring humans MIGHT BE RESPONSIBLE, for the CO2 concentration going off the hook, when CO2 ALWAYS maxed out, at 280 ppm, any time it maxed, in the last 800,000 years, but hey, it's pushing past 400 ppm, on the way, to way over 1000 ppm, and here comes Mass Extinction Event 6, NO DOUBT.

Natch, all KINDS of people are ignoring, how every time CO2 went up, partly as fast, as it is rising today, accompanied by the fastest ever rise, in CH4 and industrial GHGs, a mass extinction event resulted, 1 of 5. Natch, Democrats and pubs are in no hurry, to challenge fossil fuel nonsense, with modern, cellulosic biofuel media OR to cut costs and casualties, associated with bad farming and the drug war.

Of course, maybe the Greens or Libertarians could learn to spell "M.E.E.6," do you think? After all, the Greens in UK are manifestoing, against certain biofuels, without advocating hemp, algae, and switchgrass, which lets BP eat them up, and the US Greens don't have much, but Dr.Jill getting arrested.

The Libertarians have former pub Gary Johnson, who looks ready, to cut the drug war. Hmmm. I wonder when the Tea Party will get that smart? Not in any hurry, I guess.

Sure. Never been a Democrat in Congress but for 20% of the time. LOL Debt always grows exponentially under Democrat Congresses.

I am surprised that you don't understand that the Tea Party movement was a continuation of the anger at the debt that Bush, a progressive, instituted seeing how Obama was going to, and did, double down on it.

See? Troll! Notice the change of story! This is what you originally said:

So buying Treasuries is not getting money out of Treasuries. It's putting it in. When you add to the demand for Treasuries, you are more likely to increase the price than decrease it.

I don't think you could be this purposely wrong if you weren't trolling.

I think Lawrence Summers, the former Director of the White House Economic Council, should be the one embarrassed, not me. I called the stimulus effects accurately, and he didn't.

I'm talking from the perspective of the private sector. The Fed swapping Treasuries with reserves is an attempt to get private sector money out of treasuries and moved elsewhere. It is my bad that I failed to realize that you would not have been able to figure that out. I knew I should have brought out the coloring book for you.

What did you predict? I predicted that the stimulus was way too small and that it would have a small positive effect on the economy. What was your prediction?

LOL!! What's funny is you actually think you are right. That's the best part of this whole thing, is you are so confident in something that is not even accurate or true, yet you prance around like you've got it all figured out. Yet you can't even explain what it is you "figured out".

No, our obligation situation is different today than the past. Our debt situation is the exact same.

And also, that last line you just said, was the same thing they were saying in 1937 also. So why were they wrong but you are right? And can you explain how much money is "irresponsible"? Because apparently when they thought $5 billion deficits in 1937 were irresponsible and out of control, they were wrong. So why are you right and what metric are you using to come to that conclusion?

Yea, America has $15 trillion worth of value produced just last year... in fact almost a quarter of the entire worlds. I'm not sure what value has been stolen from you. If you are referring to inflation, then maybe you should make more money instead of just stick it in your mattress.

No it has slightly more good at a much inflated price. Oh and in case you aven't noticed the most expensive ticket on our budget is now servicing the debt by a large margin.

I put "value" as a more subjective concept, than exercised transactions, at distorted prices, which is what GDP reflects.

GDP has all sorts of b.s. salaries and cotton candy and stuff, in it. GDP ignores gang and cartel activity, which affects GDP, when black market activity reinvests, but the money is still contaminated.

US GDP ignores the failure, of actual value, of four levels of nuisance activity, by the several governments and their millions of bureaucrats, seldom up to any good.

Of course, if you aren't older than 15, maybe you've never had any experience, sorting cop and corporate nuisance, even in the news.

There is absolutely no arguing that the United States is the largest consumer and producer in the entire world. Regardless of your "inflated" GDP theory, the actual data proves how much we actually produce and consume... and the actual data is mind boggling. Whether it be food, oil, cell phones, houses, cars, toys, entertainment, porn, sports, advertising, financials, education, alcohol, fast food, candles, lawn mowers, etc. We are a massive economy with a massive amount of production that is not "inflated" by any means of the imagination.

Regardless of your distorted, encyclopedic outlook, manufacturing in the US poses problems, for any entrepreneur. Our cost structure is distorted, by four levels of government, inflated costs, of real estate, lots of regulations, and a labor force, distorted from manufacturing, for a generation.

Or didn't you notice, when businesses started heading out of the country?

Didn't you see how China is making a lot of gear, while controlling their currency, to gain a stranglehold, on mass production businesses, and China is EMERGING?

Didn't you see what happened, to Solyndra, which couldn't compete, with Chinese products, on the international market?

Maybe you think all kinds of inflation isn't a problem, in real estate and derivatives.

Maybe you think we won't even feel the Euro trouble OR the BRICS nations starting their own world bank.

Maybe you think funding trouble hasn't caused long-term infrastructure damage, which GDP just doesn't notice.

Maybe you haven't noticed, how every time CO2 goes up, partly as fast as it is going up, today, the Earth suffered one of five mass extinction events, and guys like Al Gore and President Obamney are poking at this problem, with carbon trading scams!

FYI: The costs of corruption are still accruing. The inflated prices, which were paid, already are NOT the only prices, which will be paid. Going concern media may be a lot more fragile, than you think it is.

Yea, there's a lot of lipstick, on a pig. It still oinks and poops, dude.

I wonder if that makes any sense in your little world? It doesn't here in the real world.
Other than total nonsense and the party line do you have anything at all?
How about some truth? Do some real research, not the crap you want to hear from the right wing media but real numbers, real truth, I think you will be shocked at how wrong you are about most everything.

I'm surprised you think that spoon fed line of party line BS would work on a thinking man!

What's amazing is you still can't comprehend that the only thing Nixon did in 1971 was tell foreign countries that we would not give them gold for their dollars. Otherwise our economy has been running the same since 1934. You can try to rationalize it a little bit and say we were on a quasi-fiat system, but in reality we were as fiat as it gets. We were so fiat and printed so much money, that foreigners could have wiped out our gold supply, which caused us to arbitrarily increase our convertibility. There was absolutely no real link between gold and our ability to spend between 1934-1971. But I'm sure this will not be understood by you. In the past 2 years you have proven to be incapable of rational thought.
