    Blue moon isnt blue. Its something like a full moon twice in one month. We checked it out with the telescope. It was amazing! It was huge just viewing it with a naked eye. In the telescope, which is not a great telescope by anymeans, it was amazing. I could see craters and grey colored lines and patches of dark and light color grey. This morning it was wicked cool. The moon was setting and the sun was rising and it felt like we were right in the middle. lol

    I opened the blinds in the bedroom last night and the light that flooded in was so cool. Almost as cool as when the sky is light up with a gigantic snow storm.

    RIP Neil and this Yankee chick did wink at the moon for you!
    You know I read an article somewhere a while back that Neil said he actually didnt say, "Thats one small step for man. One giant leap for mankind." He said what he intended to say was, "Thats one small step for a man. One giant leap for mankind."

    OK, I got to see the blue moon last night and although I don't have a telescope, I did use binoc's & it was awesome. RIP, Neil. You left your footprint on history. ;)

    So. Been having a weird week. Not unusual for me, but I finally figured it out.
    Having a really bad emotional hangover from the ER trip last weekend. Long story and I don't want to get into it; but essentially some stuff went on while I was there that set off grief for my children like I haven't felt in years.

    Ahhh, you were the chicken I smelled! I wondered 'cuz I fixed grilled pork chops today! Mashed sweet taters & fresh corn on the cob. Very tasty.

    Doesn't look like there will be much celebrating Labor Day tomorrow. Dad's playing golf, but he asked me to take him to a funeral visitation in the afternoon. The way he told me, 'my brother's wife's sister.' I don't mind going with him... esp since I've got the rest of the week off. May his brother's wife's sister RIP. :(

    Anybody catch any good Labor Day sales? You can tell we're in a bad economy 'cuz the best bargain I got was on BEEF!! Ad in yesterday's paper showed one grocer was running a sale on ribeye steaks. Stopped by on the way home from the wake and picked up a $36 pkg of thick steaks for $15. Such a deal... just think... steak... like the good ole days!!!!!

    Right back at cha Smarty. Good news is ice on the car this morning and no more of that hot 80 degrees and in the mid to low 30's at night. Leaves are now falling and fog every morning on the ground here. Happy days are here again cause the tourists are now starting to go back home til next year. Yeah, we now get our town back for awhile.

    Sounds good, sweetie. Hotter'n hades here... still. It was 100 today, but the humidity was high so it felt like 106. Cold front might make it thru by the weekend and take us down to the 80's... I'll take it. Tired of heat. Enuff is enuff.
