The 2nd amendment is great, but there's more to it than that.

If you want to go shopping on Sunday morning in South Car, why don't you go somewhere that's open? If government is keeping it closed, take it up with them. Choice is a freedom.

Also the largest homes in the world on average.

Australians also earn more than Americans.

It's referred to as supporting an argument.

Sydney is heading in the same direction. An apartment within ten clicks of the CBD can cost you millions. Land is becoming scarce on the eastern seaboard as the population grows. Don't forget we are hemmed in between the ocean and the mountains behind us.

Good building land is atill available if you're willing to travel a couple of hours to work into the CBD. But we do have a very good rail network for commuters. Try driving anywhere within 50 kilometres of the Sydney CBD during peak hour. It's a bloody nightmare.

Sydney is about an hours drive from my home. I rarely go there unless I'm picking up or dropping someone to the international aiport. But it is a very beautiful city.

Where I live, we have everything at our disposal so there is no need to go to Sydney.

I love Melbourne. Really easy to get around,, with wonderful food, art galleries, museums etc.

The only thing Brisbane has over Sydney is that Brisbane's strip clubs are better.

Freedom IS the abolition of guns. Not everyone can use a gun, for example the elderly, young or disabled. They are therefore helpless with no form of self defence. This is NOT universal freedom.

Free is when you don't have to worry about someone crazy having the ability to do that. There are countries however that actually have children roaming the streets with ak47s. Move there and live free..

But you have to vote correct? You don't have the freedom to not vote.

Either you heard him wrong or he lied or is misinformed.
In Wi you absolutely can NOT take a gun into a bar.

The jury is out on this one. Most Australians don't find voting a chore, but more of a contribution to society.

What's happening is, Australia is getting 90%-95% of eligible voters turning out on election days. I read somewhere America 60%-65% are turning out.

With 95% percent of the eligible voters voting, then surely we must have a more acurate representation of the vote.

Charlie I'd say your definition of free is at best mildly retarded.

Would you have abandoned fighting for your country if the Nazis occupied it? Okay, you probably would have. But most people here aren't like you.

The plan is not to cut and run, but to make the USA more free by stomping down the neocons, corporatists, extremist Catholics/Mormons/Evangelicals, and other anti-freedom forces. We're in it for the long haul, win or lose in a couple days.

    Be seeing you. <#6 salute>

Australia is more free because we don't have people going into debt due to medical bills. We have an awesome health care system, and Aussies a generously helping other Aussies to stay alive by paying for their medical treatment via taxes. That would never happen in the US...

But you do not understand why it is the worst. It is the worst because government runs it in everything but name. We have medicare for the elderly and Medicaid for the poor. If you are unisured it is because you either have no job in which case you go file your paperwork for medicaid or you chose not to be. In the latter case if you go bankrupt you have no one to blame but yourself.

The Mayor is seriously considering emigrating to Australia, which is almost civilized, except for it's ban on the private ownership of guns and its socialist medicine scam.

What about those people who are just above the threshold for Medicaid? They get stuck with a bill that will ruin them financially. Your health care system sucks.
