Eadora uses an unusual font and color selection while posting on PF, but you don't seem to have a problem with him - probably because you two agree on more things than you and Jeannette. In any event, you should try being a bit more consistent if people using fonts besides the default ones bother you, because I'm fairly sure there's a few more out there.

Her point was - well, let's answer that question with a question: What percentage of your posts have absolutely nothing to do with Israel, Zionism, AIPAC, or the Jews?

Stu, get your quote tags right - that is a mess.

Israel can be discussed in a thread about corruption.

We all know that you (and a few others), would rather it was never mentioned, and you have the entire global media doing that for you.

But no - you also want everyone else giving them a free pass and hushing up their crimes, as well, it seems.

Yeah, already noted and fixed it.

The problem isn't that Israel can't be discussed when it comes to corruption, Jeannette's point was that all you do is focus on Israel/Jews/AIPAC. It's like a piano player hitting the same note for years forgetting there's 87 other keys. And on a thread which was about global corruption perceptions, you went ahead and went there. Again.

Saying Israel's issues can't be discussed is a strawman argument, especially when we have many people on this site who do nothing BUT discuss it, while getting their information from other media which also discuss it.

    Good.

For I would not like to think you would want them to be given a free pass, and not have a light shone on them, because we already have a corrupt corporate media to do that.

This is a thread about nation states and corruption, Stu.

    It IS pertinent.

13th place isn't really speaking to me.

It's like being the Stoke City of the chart.

Stuart, what exactly is your problem with concentrated political criticism ? Don't you believe that people should be able to pursue a genuine cause if they so choose ?

Esp when we cannot rely on the corporate media to do anything but hush up Israeli crime, and that of Zionist Jews.

There's a difference between having an opinion and being obsessive. Put another way, if I started joking about how backwards New Zealanders are, how drunk Canadians are, or how useless Scotland is in almost every single post, people might think something was a bit off with me at the very least. And considering the group mentality I've been seeing with a few posters continually harping on Israel (and to a lesser extent the US) alone as if it's the very center of the universe, as if there isn't anything else shady going on anywhere else, something else is going on besides political criticism. IMO, it's either some kind of personality cult or a form of anti-semetism hiding behind a clever veneer of political debate. As an example, there's a poster here who can't go three sentences without blasting AIPAC. I wonder why, considering he lives in a place where there are almost no Jews and probably no AIPAC presence at all. I've read a few of his posts and for the life of me he never mentions anything else, unless it's how evil the US is. Now yeah, we can call it "concentrated political criticism", but it's a bit obvious there's something else going on. Let's face it, when you start speculating on whether or not Jews are a different species such as spiders, okay, that's a clear indication that there's something more than political differences involved, and has been so for some time.

There's also the fact that eventually it gets a bit tiring. Honestly, someone who spends all their time discussing the same old thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again looks pretty one-dimensional. It's pretty hard to take them seriously at best, and at worst it surely seems as if there's another motivation in mind rather than mere political discourse. As for me, my interest in Israel stems from two interests: Religious/Biblical history and archaeology. If I were to make a post discussing the political problems of Israel in a historical and cultural context along with possible solutions, people might be willing to discuss them with me because I haven't really shown any huge gigantic terrible interest one way or the other in Israel as it exists in it's political form, and no one here sees me as having some kind of personal vendetta for or against it. As relates to eschatology yeah, but beyond that, I haven't really discussed it very much at length so far as I remember. But Jack? He makes a post, and everyone just shrugs their shoulders with a "Yeah, we've heard it all before from you," I think the piano analogy I used a few posts back was quite fitting, we have a number of people who keep hitting the same note all the time. I've joked about it before, how we have a few posters who could go on a thread devoted to bowling and turn it into a screed against the Jews. To a degree, it happened in this thread. It's about national world perceptions on a global scale and bingo, now it's all about Israel. Heck, it more properly should be about the top and bottom five. Especially Somalia.

Regarding your last sentence, should they pursue a genuine cause if they so choose? Well sure, I'm not a mod here. But if I were, I would move just about all the threads on World Events off to the mid-east section of PF where they belong.

But what does it actually have to do with you, what I want to place most focus on?

Has it not crossed your mind, that if the media actually did it's job, perhaps I would not feel the need, but see, when the entire media are biased, and have so many electric fences, that stop a critical Israel story, even getting to the newsroom, let alone the airwaves, then even if another 1,000 people joined came to PF,and they ALL focused on Israel, it will still be a grain of sand compared to said pro Israel global media.

No, Stuart, at least be honest, like all flavours of Israeli apologists, the entire global media bias is still not enough for you.

You want to see even less exposure of Israel, on the net.

    So transparent.

To the extent that what you post about affects my life in the slightest, no it has nothing to do with me. To the extent that your constant harping on Israel/the Jews is a symptom of someone claiming something is happening when the reverse is true, that sort of matters.

You speak of the mass media as though it has some kind of hive-mind, and in the US you could make that argument if you replaced liberal for Jew. But I've said it before, you yourself are getting information from media sources, from the net, from who-knows where, which is the very opposite of what you're saying is happening. You could argue from anecdotal sources, but you yourself have disdained such. So you get information from a media and net that you say doesn't give out said stories? Uhm, okay.

I haven't become some sort of Israeli apologist, Lord knows they've made mistakes, but my argument is that you and others have gone too far on the opposite end and made it something more than you proclaim it. When you go on a thread discussing the entire world and again, focus on Israel as if there isn't a score of other countries out there to discuss, it shows a narrow focus. In a larger sense, you're not seeing the global view and keep thinking locally.

Why was this article made, Jack? Was it merely to bash Israel or was it part of a larger matter? If you or anyone else for that matter can't put the Jew-bashing aside to look at the big picture, even on one thread, I think that's something you might want to consider. It's not a question of more or less exposure for Israel, it's a question of not seeing the forest for the trees.

    Good.

So in a thread about countries and corruption, you do not object to my citing facts on the ground, about Israel, right?

Esp since the media fail to.

The thread is about countries and corruption.

You, Mr Wolfe, would regard Israel as a country, and this is information about corruption in that country.

"The election of Inbal Gavrieli to the Knesset in 2003 as a member of Likud raised concerns about OC influence in the party's Central Committee. Gavrieli is the daughter of a suspected crime boss, and she attempted to use her parliamentary immunity to block investigations into her father's business."

The U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv sent a cable to the State Department in May 2009 expressing little confidence in the Israel Police's ability to counter the growing wave of organized crime.

The cable, released on WikiLeaks, said the embassy was taking pains to prevent members of crime families from being issued visas to the United States.

The cable, under the headline "Israel, a promised land for organized crime?" notes that the U.S. Embassy was following Israeli crime families closely and considered them a serious threat to the United States

    Or this...

Israel's state prosecutor rationalizes expected closure of Lieberman case

Prosecutor cites difficulty in presenting evidence: 'people who are capable of shedding light on these matters are people who don't want to talk.'

Do I object to you posting about Israel? Nah. I've learned a few things from you. I've even said as much somewhere. But I really wasn't arguing over anyone doing that. Constant repetitious posting about the same thing by the same people over and over and over again to the point where it's just plain obsessive, though - ?

C'mon Jack, you're a smart guy, you know that's what Jeanette was ultimately getting at, and what I am talking about. Don't even try pulling the "They won't let me/no one in the press will discuss Israeli crimes!" card here when it's all YOU do. But that's the problem, innit? It is ALL you do. PF is sometimes like being in a room with a hundred Kristen Stewarts; nobody has any range.

Let's face it, it's not like we can rely on global media to expose their dirty little secrets, is it?

Everyone else, including Americans, are fair game.

    Except for them.

In the US media, you can say what the hell you like about the US, or the President even.

But lest you criticise Israel, you will lose your job.

    Telling.

False! If you critisize the Muslims, you will lose your job. Whenever a mosque is attacked, it's blasted all over the news, while churches are being destroyed and Christians are being killed everyday in the Islamic world, and yet there is nothing in the main stream press. The only way a person can find out what's going on in the world, is by going to foreign sources. Then again what is one to expect? Most of the major papers in the world are owned by the Saudis. :spin:

Perhaps, but not if you were witnessing the fascists' boots on the victims' necks and wanted something done about it. That's politics. This is a political forum. Zionism produces fresh atrocities every single day*. This forum discusses the most recent of them and relates those atrocities to previous atrocities in order to portray neoZionism as a danger to truth, justice and the rule of law. Petulant complaining only serves to highlight the censorship and Zionist media monopoly of the past. That's gone. The Internet runs truth in parallel. Zionism is exposed- and the more accurately and frequently the better.

    *
You really don't see a small fraction of the neoZionist ethnic cleansing programme in your press, your tv or even in these pages. The quantity reported is restricted. And that's exactly what you are trying to do yourself.

Well, I'm not even surprised that Ukraine at the bottom of the rank (at the 144 th place) I'm feeling ashamed of my country, there is no country in Europe which has worse results than Ukraine. Out politicians are taking care about their greed and how to stole some money from the budget. The corruption in Ukraine is everywhere - from parlament to police and even schools and universities. Ukrainian nation must get up off knees and change our government using violence against them. I'm sick of reading bad and shameful news about Ukraine. I'm absolutely agree with results of this rank.

perhaps you could add your lengthy propoganda to a thread on zionist atrocities, and consider the list here in this thread.
