Hmmm - and yet there is plenty, an abundance of evidence out there that hate speech is MORE harmful than assault

Until words can break femurs, I think I have a pretty solid case here. What people do because of what they hear and see is entirely on them. Declaring something hate speech is this:

    1. A way to censor another under penalty of law.
    2. A removal of personal responsibility - "The devil made me do it". This requires particular attention.
    3. Blatant violation of the bill of rights.
    4. Incapable of physically harming another human being.

A broken femur can mend but loss of self esteem can take a life time to heal

Ah yes...but you'll be alive and unwounded to do it.

Hurt feelings do not kill. As you may have noticed, my heart has few strings to tug on. Suicide rates because of hurt feelings are not my problem. Sad that they feel so hopeless, but there are gobs of outreach programs for these disturbed and easily swayed people. But if I decide to take a swan dive off a bridge and go swimming in the interstate that is their problem.

Its my opinion, nothing else,Im not forcing any thing onto any person in y opinion, but my last line should be taken as rhetorical in nature,or to take "pause" as most women(especially those who have multiple abortions) dont...

What do you think the childs thoughts would be on that? I dont think any in history ever has been asked,no sarcasm intended or said

TBH due mainly to the pro-life stance woman who have had an abortion don't really get the aftercare required, there should be follow up programs explaining to them the necessity of contraception if they are going to remain sexual active . .however the constant browbeating of the pro-life brigade against funding for organisations such as PP curtails what they can and cannot do . to me the best way to reduce abortions is through decent education on contraception, including abstinence.

The question should have been framed as in rhetorical nature,I wonder what a awoman would actually say if ut to her that way

The fetus has no thoughts .

Now why can't you address:"I would think some women would feel the same about being forced to give birth to a child they don't want...."

Why do you think you should force another to do anything?

I could debate the merits of each side and we could go on endlessly so i would like to put it this way,I am 50 this year,in my life I have one, just one planned pregnancy(and no others),I have never had the need to even contemplate abortion,so Im my Opinion,in this day and age(2013) a woman, girl etc... getting preggers is just pure laziness, thats it.
    Your
comment is not taken with merit.

As for your other "points" I see them as skewed, just look at them and ask yourself,,"If your going to let a man enter you, unprotected are you willing to take the consequences of you the woman actions? yes missy you the woman are as responsible as the man you let into your body.

Dont blame society and make them responsible for your actions

Not quite true, Nazi war criminals were prosecuted in other countries though their crimes were not committed there. I can honestly see the pro-life people pushing for the law to include abortions as murder even if conducted in another country.

Like what .. force feeding her, intravenous drip, just trying to talk her out of it or declaring her mentally unstable and thus removing even more of her rights.

Really, I am surprised you haven't been slapped a few times .. but I concede the point.

Not at all, but that has been going on for a number of years and yet we still have abortion .. 50% of woman having abortions were using some form of contraception.

I have respect for the unborn, I just happen to have more respect for the womans right to choose, she is a person accorded all the rights associated with that position a fetus is not a person.

and you are entitled to your perspective, however it doesn't give you or anyone the right to force those perspectives onto others, to do that you step away from democracy and freedom into the realms of a dictatorship. I believe that the right to abortion is the womans choice up until the fetus is viable for any reason she chooses.

do you disagree with the findings of the medical profession? if so why?

I have, and most, even the ones who are pregnant and keeping it agree with me

Where do you get the idea that women who have abortions are all blaming society and not being responsible???

They are responsible, they don't bring an unwanted baby into the world. Where do you get that they blame society?

Oh, and all that "my personal story" BS means nothing, the whole world isn't YOU...YOU are not the standard, YOU are not The Perfect Person Who Must Be Obeyed.....

Ask the child if they want to be aborted then, ask if they want to be forced to be aborted,,now why cant you address that for me?Your pro-life and yet you dont understand it as you have a heartbeat just like the day your mother decided that your life was more important than what your idea is of anothers now.

But just imagine if your mother still had that right,,to end your life now? what would be your thoughts on it? In your opinion you wouldnt have any,and if you did they should be rejected.

Simple answer to abortion, dont get pregnant, its not hard,Im 50 went through my whole life without a problem,,prochoice people are just but a bunch of people with no answers to but simple questions

Just curious,Whats your answer to Prison overcrowding?,,let them all out,,or exterminate them?

So instead of simple precaution, you want me to subsidize an abortion?,and yes they do blame society,,hello Roe V Wade?
The problem with the abortion "issue" is we as a nation became dependent on this action,we were forced to subscribe into it.
Just like numerous states have lowered the age of consent(some down to 13) to lessen the legal ramifications of statutory rape, and the burdens onto a male counterpart of the sex act.
I ask where is the responsibility of the persons and their actions,,responsibility before the act,not after, yes IMO,America was cheapened by Roe V Wade,,55 million babies later we just keep killing them,55 million, why cant Pro-Choice people wrap that around their brains,,,55MILLION
and based on our current population that would be near 1 in 6 people

"unwanted" no you wanted the sex,

I would imagine that almost 100% would not want to be aborted .. however they have lived a least a part of life, they have developed relationships, they have discovered things, they have a something to base their answer on . .a fetus does not, it has no experience of life and so has no base to compare to . .therefore in my opinion the question isn't relevant to the situation (no disrespect meant there)

Oh if it were that simple, I don't expect any of the women who have had abortions set out to get pregnant .. accidents do happen and the pro-life position is to punish them for that accident, even if they took precautions.

    Build more prisons.

You are a little rambler, aren't you......I have no thoughts on prison overcrowding but if you show it has something to do with abortion I'll try to answer.

No one is asking anyone to subsidize abortion .. except for medical reasons ie the mothers life in danger.
All Roe V's Wade did was to establish the right of the woman to privacy under the due process clause of the 14th Amendment which extended to a woman's decision to have an abortion, that is not blaming society, that is following the Bill of Rights.

no one is forcing you to subscribe to it at all .. you are not being censored in your opinion, you have the right to state your objections and the right to vote for the people who you feel will change the law .. thing is you are part of a minority group who have failed repeatedly to get any amendments in place despite 40 years of trying, doesn't this tell you something .. doesn't it tell you that the majority don't agree with you.

Have they, first I've heard about it, you might want to look at this, it gives the age of consent for most countries of the world

    http://www.avert.org/age-of-consent.htm

The US stands at 16 years old.

The responsibility lies in the woman making the choice to either continue the pregnancy or not to, and as I have pointed out to you before 50% of women having abortions did take responsibility before the act. Row V's Wade didn't cheapen the US in any way, it established the 14th Amendment.
55 Million is a huge figure, one that we all should be working towards reducing .. my opinion is that the best way is to have a damn good sex education policy, better access to contraception, better funding for contraception research to make it better and for the right-wing to stop trying to undermine organizations like PP so they can spend money educating and helping those who need it most.

you me and every other taxpayer does

,,,DO you think? I mean if the country forced murder on just but a a few people it would be a national outrage, but 55 million babies,,oh its just peachy-keen,because hey in you sides opinion they didnt really have rights to begin with,,its funny,no pathetic those that champion prenatal murder are the ones that were spared the coat hanger in the first place,it smacks of hypocrisy, just like its okay to terminate a life before it takes its first breath on its own,but once outside the womb its now neglect.

So by your answer you "expect" a baby with every session of unprotected sex?,,Im not in the least confused,What part of Abortion is not murder dont you understand? your terminating life, and yes babies do talk to you from the womb,,its called a heartbeat,a pure sign of life
now you can "try" to hit that
,,first educate yourself so you can claim to be at least smart, and maybe, just maybe the "alec" will fall in there naturally

I'm bumping this thread. I want pro lifers to make some more responses to the claims.

I agree with Fugazi (despite myself being a pro lifer), restricting pregnant women's ability to go on vacation on airplanes is opressive.

Uh, women fly for lots of reasons not just vacations...they travel for business!! Women!!!

And restricting women's reproductive rights is oppressive.

    Restricting anyone's rights is oppressive.
