I think it's about time for a "Bash Ayn Rand" thread.

I gotta admit when I was in my 30's I read just about everything she wrote and I was enthralled and bought into it.

That was in the 80's when everybody it seemed was a right winger.

I'm older and wiser now and I realize what a load of crap her philosophy is.

I still think the books, like "Atlas Shrugged" and "The Fountainhead" are entertaining, but the propaganda she promotes in them is garbage.

Normally when someone says they were that and over time they've become this, there is some explanation of it. As far as you've stated, all we have is that you were a dumb sh*t, but now you're a wise *ss.

Name one industry that is not highly regulated. Name one area of government spending that is down as a real number. Total Governemnt spending is near 40% and we are heavy in debt. How much more as a percentage should we spend old wise man?

Dude there has been no Randian experiment not now not ever. At least not since Rand was born. In fact over the last forty years we've come closer and closer to the European style socialism so be;loved of the American left so it should come as no surprise to anyo9ne with a functioning brain that our Young people are starting to suffer from European style youth unemployment which ahs been a problem for more than 20 years.
