Another example of this president thumbing his nose at millions of American Believers. Nobody's asking him to witness his faith in public, but it wouldn't hurt him to drag his ass to church for appearances sake.

At my church, we pray for the president and our country. It'd be nice to think he does the same for us. Fat chance.

He's just reflecting the majority of Americans who claim to be christians but do nothing to demonstrate that they are, including going to church. Since most of America is like this, doesn't surprise me that the President is like this as well. After all, he's a busy man. Doesn't have time to waste in church.

What's your point. Maybe he has more important things to do than sit in a building and be bored for 3 hours.

Personally, I don't really care if the President actively practices a religion, but then against, I oppose organize religion to begin with.

And I love how so many love to bring up Obama not going to church for a number of months, and compare it to Bush, went went to church several times for the first couple months after he was elected, but then ignore Bush's sporatic, infrequent church attendance throughout the rest of his tenure.

George HW Bush is Episcopalian and raised his son George W in the church until the son pretended to switch. John McCain was also raised Episcopalian.

Seems like it might be better for Obama to stay away from that Church.

Too bad he can't go back to Reverend Wright's Black Liberation Theology church to continue his 20 year tenure, eh?

You mean to busy finding more countrys to go to war with, finding other people to blame for his mistakes, or giving taxpayer oney to political cronies' failing companies?

Oh and given the current state of the Episcopalian Church in America, little more than a country club that's only open on Sundays, he hasn't missed much...

Rev Wright is upset with how Obama was sucked into the machine so easily. He can't stand the guy. Wright keeps it real, even if he be wrong.

The ODS gets worse. Three long years to go and I hope Hillary puts him on the court.

Um...does anyone care about this? This certainly isn't in my top 100, much less my top 1000 things to care about concerning any president at all....

When was the last time YOU went to church? I also care nothing about that either. If this is what you use to gage your presidents, good on you, but if I had a choice to remove your right to vote, it would be immediately revoked and you could only vote on American Idol for the rest of your years.

Really, Obama is controlled by choice or by force, it doesn't really matter.

A superpower will never have a leader who doesn't have a red dot on his chest at all times. If you wanna get to the bottom of it. Obama controls Nada.

Only an ignoramus would assume otherwise.

Doesn't sound like there's much difference between Wright and the preacher at St John's. Both preach hate... surprised Obama isn't there everytime the doors are open.

What hate does the St. John's preacher espouse? My point about that church is still hidden in the context of this thread.
hseiken is being naive though, religion still rules this planet.

I didn't threaten you. I said if I could, I would revoke your right to vote because you don't seem to be using any sort of logic. Of all things you can dislike about Obama, his church activities are guaranteed to be 0% of importance in his job, just as your church going doesn't make you better at sitting as chair on the PTA.

I love when the left let's their "tolerance" mask slip and you can see the fascism behind it.

Who are you to judge? God! Maybe he goes to church every Sunday but it's not in a church building. What a bunch of nonsense this post is.

Well of course.....because we all know that for true believers in Christ.....all that matters is dragging their ass to church for appearance sake.

And of course whether that dress looks good, and lordy, lordy- look at her hat!

I love when the right thinks how religious they are makes them better judgement of governmental affairs. In other countries, this mixture of religion and government decisions is called things like dictatorship, terrorism, etc.

What I don't have tolerance for is people who think religion makes you better at making decisions. This is ludicrous way of thinking. i have nothing against people practicing religion, but as the original founders of the countries found out, they don't really want religion to be a deciding factor of how our country operates. This thread goes against those principles and I find it quite shocking how many people give a poop about it...that and the stupid 'foot on desk' thread are just about the bottom of the barrel smears...and this is what occupies your mind. It's not the NSA, it's whether Obama went to church this week and whether he put up his feet after a hard day of authorizing drone strikes or not.

I get it. You'd strip people of rights if they didn't agree with you. That's how the left operates. The problem I have is they try and sell their ideology as "tolerant", "open minded", "peaceful", and other similar pleasantries. I dislike this kind of hypocrisy.

I understand your point, but I'd have to say the liberals I know are far more tolerant than the conservatives I know. It should be noted that I live in West Virginia though. There is a disturbing amount of racism toward any non-whites here. And yes, the overwhelming vast majority of these people consider themselves conservatives/vote republican/want the Kenyan, Muslim, communist, anti-American, anti-Christ President gone. Those are just the names they use when they aren't in the comfort of their own homes with friends who think likewise. Then, they normally just call him a n*gger. Of course, when they use those other names, that's what they really mean anyway. They just don't have the balls to say it in public. It must be really crappy to be so ashamed of your own beliefs, that you can't share them with others.

I guess Obama is more like Reagan than I even knew. And more like Bush.

Who was the last President to regularly attend any church in Washington? Clinton at the foundry Methodist Church(Bob Dole went there too).

Neither Bush were members of any Washington DC church or attended church regularly.

Carter did though- not surprising- he even taught Sunday School.

Reagan rarely if ever went to any church services while President.

I love the double standards......

Maybe he could attend John Hagee's or Pat Robertson's church.
