While Assad has done plenty of things I don't agree with, we are talking about a place half way around the world.

I am sure they hate Obama for all kinds of reasons too.

While I am not for a purely isolationist agenda, I believe we need to be highly critical of where we intervene. This is not it.

Whoever you cheer for, I hope everyone stays as safe as they can.

As for the Russian rifles and uniforms.... Do you think the Syrian Army would normally just pop into the local Walmart and pick up the things they need? I don't claim to know a whole lot about what's going on over there, but my general compass tells me that the Syrian Army is being supplied by..... RUSSIA!!!!!!
And they're probably living on canned dog food, just like the Russian military.

I see now,....your personal experience and deficient father should designate foreign policy and decide Americans need to die. I am pleased you are not not the position to make such choices.

Jeannette, in the past we've crossed swords on several issues, i.e. Cyprus etc., I'm pleased to be in agreement with your views on Syria+ Al-Assad

It's doubtful Russia is supplying their uniforms. More than likely the Syrians are copying the Russian uniforms. As for the Russian army food, it can't be any worse than what we buy in the fast food restaurants or in our supermarkets. Do you have any idea what junk we eat, I mean the rest of the world knows it and laughs at us. Europe has much more stringent laws on their food supply, and I'm sure Russia does too.

Anyway I was looking up Russian army uniforms and came across this Russian 'toy', so don't underestimate them. The Germans did and they made a big mistake. Uhhh! Why do the store fronts look so familiar? :confuse:

    Apparently you cant read.

Pops smacked me for condemning people to be 'nuked' without having the 'experience' of both sides of the debate. I was 12 and understood his wisdom.

Apparently you cant read or are just being obtuse
you should be, because now, i have enough information to judge, even YOU!

AK-47's made all over the world. Shilka made in USSR. Uniforms made in Syria.

I guess to you having AK-47 makes someone Russian Proxies! How brilliant.

Here are your former Afghan - future Al-Qaeda proxies with American weapons!

    Thanks.

I am not concerned about Al-Aqsa or Palestinian affairs. I am only concerned about Syria.

I want you to know there are a lot of prayer services being said for Syria, not only in the Orthodox churches, but in the Roman Catholic and Evangelical Churches as well. I linked on to the Christian Broadcasting Network and they had a section telling people how they should pray for Syria. These Christians don't just pray, they also write to their representatives in Washington and I'm talking about tens of millions of letters.

Our liberal media keeps saying Americans are tired of war or concerned about the costs, and that's why we are not supporting Obama, but that's not the real reason. The real reason is that Christians are freaking out with our government's lack of justice and compassion, as well as its lies.

I know one thing. The American people by vast majority do not want to have anything to do with this civil war in Syria. People are very bothered by any suggestion that we may get involved and I personally am upset that Obama decided to provide tons of arms to these rebels because a portion of them are al Quieda and a very large portion are religious fundamentalist Muslims and there is no reason why we should be picking a side in this. I also wish to knew more about our military and training of these rebels. I bet dollars to donuts it is going on in mass and I feel we have been lied to by omission on this.

We need to stay the hell out of Syria all together!!!

The OP is a piece of propaganda designed to give a false impression of Syria as a vibrant society even in the face of civil war. Syria is a cess pool of violence and Islamonazi murder and injustice as is true of everyplace that Islam pollutes.

Thankfully the OP went back to Syria (assuming the OP has ever told the truth). I am fine with Syrians as long as they are living in Syria. And you are 100% right - Syria is a cesspool.

The war is not raging in Damascus, and everything Assad does is to keep the rebels at bay so they won't touch Damascus. Do you really think that people who are not in a war zone will not get on with their lives? Do they have a choice, I mean people have to eat. As for the Islamonazi murders, Assad is an Alawite, and they are quite tolerant...And so much so that they are not even considered Muslims.

Syria was the only country where the minority groups had freedom and Islam wasn't imposed on the people. Of course this annoyed the hell out of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey, so they decided to have the Sunnis rebel and turn it into an Islamic country. These are the people that destroyed Syria, with our help of course. :wall:

So you enjoy it when the rebels are killing the Syrian troops? Do you enjoy it then when they massacre the Christians as well, since their only protection are the Syrian troops? Would you feel the same way if they were massacring Israelis, or are Christian lives less important? :confuse:
