When a conservative says "we need to take our country back", they mean "we need to take our country back from the evil black man in the White House". Their anger has everything to do with race.

OTOH I do know of one white dominated country that has recently had its bonds downrated and only narrowly avoided defaulting on its loans. They even had an actual government shutdown and wouldn't pay their employees. Even SYRIA pays it employees, and they're in a CIVIL WAR.

 

Saudi Arabia, China, Brazil, Japan, South Korea ...

 

The above might have some merit if it were true, but the fact of the matter is the GOP was responsible for the shutdown and most Americans did not need the media to tell them that to know where the blame belonged. So make excuses and stomp your feet while yelling "Unfair", the Cons (or at least some of them) got accomplished exactly what they set out to do, whining that it was unfair is pure BS.

 

It is only a coincidence in your head, reality has proven far different, welcome back to Earth.
