If you really need to convince yourself that Nazis were not an extreme right-wing party despite that reality, you may want to ask yourself, "Why?"

A leftist trying to claim that Stalin or Mao were of the extreme right would appear every bit as silly.

 

A pro-Ayatollah party in Iran was called the Iranian Republican Party.

Yet Hitler enacted economic policies so close to them and you any name one thing he did that was a step to the right. Not one specific thing. None. Nada. Zip. Zilch. The big 0.

 

Did they slash taxes, free up the economy? Believe the people should have more power then government? Did they oppose top down ruler management of the economy? Did they oppose the nationalization of industry?

Since the answer to all is no, I am guessing they didn't. That said, the progressive left loves all those things. Again, the ayatollah is a leftist. Leftist authoritarian. Left and down.

They loved wealthy land-owners and industrialists.

Just like Conservatives in the USA.

They were like the grandparents of Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.

 

You and I clearly have very different value systems. I am keenly aware about the chaotic and anarchistic nature of the world we live in. I value survival, security, and stability. Go to a Brazilian favela and start preaching about 'freedom' and 'liberty', watch the blank stares that will follow. What good is freedom if you can't eat.

Economics that are actually designed to create wealth disparity, by government action, would be to the right.

There is no "American spectrum", there's the left-right spectrum, and then there's what many Americans seem to think is the left right spectrum. This isn't just my spectrum, this is used everywhere in the West, Americans are just confused as to what it actually means.
