Yes. There is no mandate and it isn't mandatory. Well, that's what the loony left continues to tell us. Obama's Budget Director Contradicts Obamacare Supreme Court Argument http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs...-obamacare-supreme-court-argument_629855.html
the car insurance requirement isn't a mandate because everyone who drives a car feels they are obligated to buy insurance its the same with healthcare.
Because noone is forced to buy a car. It's still a luxury item. As such you realize certain expenses come along with it, and can choose not to buy one if all this becomes too much. It's not the same with healthcare at all. Where can I choose to stop being human and drop my coverage?
Equating health insurance to auto insurance is a non-starter. For one thing the auto insurance requirement is a state issue, not federal. In fact, auto insurance is not required in New Hampshire. Another simple point is that individuals choose to purchase a car and thus assume the responsibility of purchasing insurance. It's a choice, not a mandate. And no, not everyone who drives a car feels they are obligated to purchase auto insurance. Estimates show 13.8% of motorists are uninsured but it could be far more. The current HCR law leaves individuals NO choice. You are alive, so you must purchase a private product the federal authority deems you must, or face a financial penalty or worse. States rights are circumvented as are individuals.
Remember the old saying that two people can keep a secret if one is dead? Well, an administration can keep a lie going if only one person speaks. When more get to talking the truth usually comes out. It's not unlike Al Gore'fee on the internet which also required a court to tell him that it was a tax.
Granny says, "Dat's right - don't give `em any money... Huelskamp: 'Defund the Implementation of Obamacare' March 5, 2013 - Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-Kan.) says Congress should work to repeal Obamacare -- and in the meantime, it should use its power of the purse to defund the law when it considers another stop-gap measure (continuing resolution) at the end of March.
GOP does an about-face on funding Obamacare... After Passing CR That Funds Obamacare, GOP Presents Budget Symbolically Repealing It March 12, 2013 One week after voting to give the Obama administration full funding for the implemenation of Obamacare in the must-pass contrinuing resolution that will fund the federal government for the rest of fiscal 2013, the House Republicans are once again vowing to symbolically repeal Obamacare in legislation that is not must-pass.
Granny says, "Dat's right - Obamacare puttin' the hurt on peoples' jobs an' paychecks... Obamacare Already 'Hurting Jobs and Paychecks,' Republican Senator Says May 3, 2013 - The Democrats' health care law is "hurting jobs, it's hurting care, and it's hurting Americans' paychecks," Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) told Fox News's Neil Cavuto on Thursday.
Many people won't be able to afford Obamacare... States Policies on Health Care Exclude Some of the Poorest May 24, 2013 WASHINGTON The refusal by about half the states to expand Medicaid will leave millions of poor people ineligible for government-subsidized health insurance under President Obamas health care law even as many others with higher incomes receive federal subsidies to buy insurance.
This is exactly what the Republicans are hoping for. Righties are causing ENORMOUS problems with implementing the plan, but when people are screwed because of the Republican sabotage, the Republicans will then blame Obama.
Businesses have been downsizing full time to part time for 10 years, and massively so since the Bush Crash of 2008. People may want to note that this is BEFORE Obama or Obamacare. The ONLY difference NOW is that businesses have something to blame the cutbacks on, besides themselves.
Funny libs blame Bush for the market crash in 08 but let some one question Obama's role in the IRS scandal or Benghazi and suddenly a President isn't responsible for anything that happens on his watch. Truly amazing
Health insurance a personal responsibility. Last time I checked only the individual dies when they have health problems. Driving a car on the other hand can endanger others property and life.
Granny says it's `cause nobody can afford dat Obama Affordable Health Care... Studies: Americans Sicker than Citizens of Other Developed Countries December 20, 2013 WASHINGTON Americans have the most expensive health care system in the world, although they don't have the most efficient one. Additionally, they don't get the most for their money. That's the assessment of two recent studies of health care in the U.S. Now, researchers paying more attention to where the money goes and what changes can be made to improve health care.
wtf? Republicans have no power in government at all, none zip zippo nada ziltch.... They cant even filibuster anymore.... Can you explain how republicans can cause ENORMOUS problems, when they have no power?
Obama has spun such a web of lies, and so completely arbitrary, politically-motivated "amendments" to a duly-enacted law (illegally, at that), that even his own Liespeak Brigade cannot keep track of his bullcrap..
