Since I didn't watch the Duck show before, I doubt I'll watch it now, but what choice did A & E have? They already had the new season in the can. They weren't "suspending" anyone.

I wondered how long it would take.

I also wonder if there will ever be a discussion on small but Extremely vocal groups stirring stuff up (from the left and the right) and then the Media going all ga-ga over it while the majority of the people make fun of it, nod in agreement or shake their heads in disagreement, and then go on with the much more important parts of their lives.

 

Two more states overturned their bans on same-sex marriage while this trivial issue was hogging the limelight.

It's a good show, and I never stopped watching it because of what Phil said. Even though I do not think that being gay is wrong in any way.

He's simply just talking about his own morals, where he grew up, and what he saw growing up.

He, and his whole family, would be pariahs if they lived in most of San Francisco, Hollywood, or Manhattan...but they don't, so it's all quite fitting.

I'm really hoping this will cause people who feel the same way as he does, to not be defensive or secretive about feeling that homosexuality is wrong. It's been too long that evangelical southerners have been stifled by popular culture's stereotypes of them.

Now maybe by the example, many others will get to freely express how they feel about gays and blacks, and we'll all be able to see the uncensored Robertsons on their reality show.

 

Neither state did any such thing. Tyrants in black robes ignored the will of the electorate.

A&E ended up looking like wishy washy jackasses twice. First time by caving in to the gay mafia then caving in to the money when the backlash set in.
