There was also a priest and a rabbi mocked in one of those cartoons, and we have not seen any Christians or Jews commit mass murder in the name of their religious ideology because of some offended feelings.

 

That may be how some humans would 'feel'. But the law still protects their right to spew their hate. And the law would prosecute their potentail shooter. Silencing opposition is such a weak stance. Allow people to speak their minds, it exposes who they are and we can all react accordingly, as we see fit.

 

I am coming to the conclusion that people are willing to change domestic policy and liberty to fit the needs of the ones invited in when it comes to faith.

Maybe there is a not a good reason to for a magazine that is based in a ME country to publish this, but this is France, where there are rights to speech and communication.

I just don't understand why so many people are so willing to excuse and bend over backwards to apologize for Islam.
