Greece is where it is because of the austerity measures placed upon it. It's just a surprising coincidence that the new Greek government is also pro-Russian. A swell time to be like so considering the EU is trying to punish Russia, not be their friend.

This is awesome, how many wonderful and efficient ways to kill as many humans as possible! Arms control, non proliferation treaties, what a nonsense. I hope Russians will not give nuclear weapon technology to Iran to better impress Obama. This is how a shmuck president may be worse and more dangerous then a smart hawkish president.

I see cyber warfare, and who is going to break down the other's system first? Maybe they both will and that will end that. I know that the Ukrainian troops fired two powerful missiles towards a city, and they disintegrated in mid air. Now that is what Russia can do, and it was a purely defensive measure on their part.

Actually from what I read by a Russian officer in Fort Russ, they can now make almost every moving vehicle obsolete within at least a twenty kilometer radius. The motors will stop and they will not be able to start them. Well let's face it, it's better than destroying them and killing the men inside?

And then of course Russia has those super stealth invisible tanks that keep sneaking across the border. :roflol:

The Greek people are pro Russian, not just this government. This East/West conflict in Europe has been going on since the Churches split and the Crusades... and that was a thousand years ago. Greece was kind of caught in the middle because of Europe's idolization of Classical Greece, but they are really Eastern Romans (Byzantine), and they do not belong on the Western side of the Orthodox/Catholic divide. Like Russia they have their own civilizational code based on Byzantium, not on Western Europe.

The Greek nation was created by Western European and Russian nobility because of the Enlightenment. That's where Lord Byron died in order to free them from the Ottomans...as well as other nobility, including George Washington's nephew...so they have ties to both East and West. As one person said, Greece is married to the East, but has the West as its mistress.

Anyway this East/West friction is embedded in the European genes. This is why Russia was always looked upon as the enemy. One Russian historian said that they have been attacked by Western Europe in one way or another every fifty years. I guess its a European tradition.

From their military base(s) at the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad Oblast, the Russians could put a nuclear payload on top of Warsaw in less than 60 seconds... on top of Berlin in less than 90 seconds....

If this is the case then why did the friends of russia vote to extend the sanctions and then enlarge them if those are hurting that same friend?

This is more trying to believe russia has such influence then actually seeing any such influence .
