Beyoncé, Hillary Duff, Jamie Foxx, Kelly Clarkson, ZZTop, Stevie Ray Vaughn... lots more.

Good folks come from all over, but Texans start out with an edge... because they're from Texas. LOL

I have a live in encyclopedia, he knows just about anything about music and entertainment. Absolutely amazing. If I want to know anything I ask him. He says he has a worthless store of knowledge that won't ever earn him a penny.. Who sang what, who was born where, who starred in what, where it was made and when it was made. His auditory memory is spot on verbatim.

His last nice role was in the intense wilderness movie starring Anthony Hopkins
and Alec Baldwin ... - The Edge - { 1997 } as Styles. That movie is one of my
favorite of the last 15 years.I've seen it numerous times. It's a fantastic movie.
It's almost a perfect movie as far as plot development and flow.
It is guaranteed to keep one interested. If not on the " edge " of their movie
    seat.

I have always been a fan of his, I have seen him play comedy, serious, the bad guy and all things between, he can do it all and that makes for a good actor. Plus he is from Texas..

Most all his roles involved being in among a group a fellars.Joking around
and being one of the boys,However he stood out.Seemed to have the knack for
standing out and being the Rowdiest and most boisterous. It suit him well.
He was straight talkin' and To The Point.Dint beat around the bush or
play patsy. He was kind of a young man's Man.Plus he liked to show off his
sinewy well muscled body, often shirtless. He was a character, first and foremost.
A good character at that. What defines a Great American. No question he was and
    still is a Great American.
Know thy great American.Life is much better when you can separate the
Great Americans from the ego inspired selfish.
Is it possible to be a Horse and cattle man and be ego driven and selfish.
I think Slim Pickens would have a few things to say about that.

He also did a great job in the Zorro film with Antonio Bandaras and Anthony Hopkins.
    Enjoy!

Isn't that the movie where they are chased by the bear and Alec dies right before Hopkins is rescued? I liked that movie.

Well, I didn't get the yard mowed, but I took #3 to baseball practice and taught #2 to do a brake job on my car. Productive day.

Gut us a real live one,do we.A real Live Monday.
    More like a mundane Monday.As a kid { yes,I was a kid once } I dreaded
    Monday.It was a countdown day.Meaning I had 4 more days like Monday
and school. Now that schools long over I have no more mundane Monday's.
If it wasn't for school I might never have noticed Mondays.

Slim Pickens is in the rodeo hall of fame, he was a bronc rider and also a rodeo clown. He was a well rounded actor a little bit of all things. He also got his name from starring in the rodeo...He ask a man about the prizes nd was told the pickings are slim, so his name was born.

I notice Mondays because of work. And, also because I suffer from that sleepless Sunday nite syndrome.

    It's hell, I tell ya.

    *yawn*
