Do old folks cook at old folk homes?

My Granny wouldn't cook on a modern stove. I remember her telling her
youngest son, she was cooking at their home, to build a fire out back so she
could fry the chicken and boil the water for rice. She was accustomed to
cooking on her wood burning Royal stove. I got to chop wood for her.

Oh, she didn't have running water until 1968. There was a spring about
100 feet from the house. The water was very silky and tasted like no
other water. The running water was via an electric pump from the spring to
the kitchen sink.

 

Well I know this mush.Old Folks at Old Folks *homes shore nuff aren't
at a loss for emotion when it came to supporting Obama over Romney.
That Old Folks home political commercial where senior bags voiced their
disdain over Romney using words like : " If your { gop } voter suppression throughout
this beautiful country enables Romney to oust Barack Obama We Will Burn this
Mutha Fuchher Down. " Or ... " And if the republicans steal this election I'm going to
track down Mitt Romney and give him the Worlds's Biggest (C)(*)(*c)(k) punch." ...

Oops. We aren't supposed to talk politics on this thread. BUT and you'll
notice it's a big but, Romney lost because he was a "worthless meddling
moderate" not that there's another kind. If he would have stood up for
something he would have won and the US would have a president.

Gee, I hope that's just a camera glitch and not the position you were in when you took the pic. Oh, well, I guess you had to wash down them enchiladas with something. Have some of this and you'll be fine.

Very interesting! Now that is OLD school style cooking!

 

The reason I brought it up is astounding.never before in my Life has
a Presidential commercial let alone any Political commercial ran that was
SO Vile. It obviously was SO Overboard that TV could never air it.
It'd be like a really Super hardcore XXX Porn flick being aired on HBO.
It need not be forgotten.Using Seniors and Grandma's in that way.
Like I say ... It'd be comparable to HBO starting a Seniors XXX Porn
series. Of course I'd have to be hired as Standards & Practices expert.
That goes w/o saying.
Which is why I said it.

Last day of vacation -- all good things, etc. At least for now, I've got the best seat in the house.

You did what to whom ... when. I don't wanna have to put on my
Bluto trousers,because my suspenders are at the dry cleaners.
And My ship is headed back to Venus where the gals are heaven-sent
and the food tastes better than fantastic.I don't know how they do it
on Venus.Every day up here is like the 4th of July and Christmas all in one.
The only thing Hot up here are the Toots,the Tomatoes { the Chicks }.
Better than Prague it is.Plus their wine is better.The grapes are juicier
like the chicks.

Hi honeys, I'm home!

Its good to get away and always nice to get back home. My house seems so big after living in a hotel room! And my 55" tv looks HUGE again!

The roomies handed me a recipe they saw in the paper while I was gone and said they'd love to have it for my welcome home meal. Of course, I have to cook it! LOL. It's good to be missed.

Glad to have the next 4 days off before returning to the grind. Hope my tan doesn't fade!

 

Will do, ma'am... but it might not happen til tomorrow since I'm still moving at beach speed.

Sounds fishy. Like when the Little Rascals skipped school and pretended to
be down with the mumps in order to go Fishin'.
Mumps usually last about a week.How long you been gone Fishin'. ?
