Are Obama's air attacks in the Middle East ok from your standpoint?

So agree - up to 4-5 months ago, the Obama administration was still crowing that Yemen was a success. :roflol: He deflects with Ukraine and blames Putin to make his water carriers and lame republicans also, believe that Putin is the big, bad. boogie man.

I was a Consultant at the time right after 9/11.

I was totally against the Invasion of Iraq.

I was completely supportive of the original plan that worked out extremely well in Afghanistan as about 196 of us were in country directing Air Strikes that killed TEN'S OF THOUSANDS OF THE ENEMY!!

Then some A$$#@!W|E in DC decides to go NATION BUILDING in AFGHANISTAN...a country that is not a country that is still living in the STONE AGES!!!

You want to KNOW why we invaded Iraq.....I WILL TELL YOU THE 100% COMPLETE TRUTH!!!

After 9/11 the people of the United States went into STATE OF TEMPORARY INSANITY!!!

I was a Consultant and there were 5 plans and 4 of those 5 PLANS READ LIKE THE SCREEN PLAY OF DR. STANGELOVE!!!!!!

Fortunately believe it or not...THE LEAST DESTRUCTIVE PLAN OF THE 5 PLANS WAS CHOSEN.

But the chosen plan was MODIFIED.

This is what actually happened as I was there.

It was determined that the less than at that time as I had come back....350 U.S. Special Forces, CIA, and Special Team Units that were directing air strikes that were killing VAST NUMBERS OF THE ENEMY....was happening to far away or too distant for the worlds press to cover what was going on.

A plan was drawn up and that Plan was designed TO DEMONSTRATE TO THE WORLD THE MASSIVE CAPABILITIES OF THE U.S. MILITARY....as what was going on in Afghanistan was too far away and too remote for media coverage.

Thus the U.S. Military Invaded Iraq all for the purpose of a DEMONSTRATION....that said..."Mess with us...this could be YOU!"

Thing is only A SMALL PERCENTAGE OF U.S. MILITARY POWER WAS USED TO INVADE IRAQ.....which was the fasted invasion of that amount of territory in History and of course watching frontline Russian Tanks get destroyed as if they were nothing.....and they are nothing in comparison to U.S. MIlitary Capabilities....was all part of the plan.

I did not support the Invasion of Iraq as I knew just as President Bush Sr....who directed Gulf War One and stopped short of Invading Iraq as Bush Sr. KNEW....Saddam's Brutality was the only thing preventing a massive Sunni/Shia CIVIL WAR.

After the Invasion of Iraq....and although I was against it....it was shown to all Nations that to take on the U.S. Military is foley.

The current U.S. Military exists with Power Projection and Power Capability Levels many times the level it had back in 2003-2004.

This is another reason why it is an absolute JOKE when Putin talks about a Russian/American War.

Putin very much knows the U.S. Military could wipe out the entire Russian Military like a hot knife cutting through warm butter.

The "enemy" are the citizens of a country defending themselves from a US attack/invasion. Afghanistand did not attack the United States. Iraq did not attack the United States. We attacked both of those nations and the citizens of those nations were "in the right" by defending themselves from the US attacks/invasion. In the end we've lost both wars just like we lost in Vietnam and the final result was the mass murder by the US of "vast numbers of citizens defending themselves" living in nations that never attacked us.

Paris Hilton you say. Damn! Another dream gone up in smoke.

But speaking of puppet regimes in Egypt, Iraq, Iran (at one time) and various Gulf states should we also think of the US?

I'm ok with this. If Russia wants to become the next world policeman in the Middle East, they can have the job.

We need to focus on energy independence. All this meddling in the Middle East has gained us very little and cost us far more.

Well, the Bush strategists thought in terms of power projection and exploiting the momentum created by the 9/11 as well. They also complained that Afghanistan, a country stuck in the stone age, did not provide them with enough juicy targets, so to vent off they would need to go into Iraq to find them. The Saudis who supplied the hijackers on the other hand were cool cuz they always had money.
