California enacts mandatory vaccination law

The problem I have with this is that you’re screwed on both ends by the government. You have to educate your children; either by the two choices of public school or home school. I can’t do home school for various reasons so I have to send her to public school. So here is where you get (*)(*)(*)(*)ed over. You have to send your kids to school and you have to them protected……. IMO this is a very slippery road. The government is saying this is for the protection of the children. Ok. You can’t smoke around 30ft around a child, that becomes you can’t smoke around children in public., you can’t smoke around children at all in private, finally, you can’t smoke period. Hyperboile, yes. Stupid yes. But once the camel gets its noise under the door, the rest is coming in.

 

What we are missing are memories of the days in which we had outbreaks of communicable diseases before vaccinations.

 

Measels, mumps, rubella, polio, small pox, chicken pox etc etc etc.
Is your short sightedness going to allow that to be brought back in this country?

 

If liberalism/Socialism is so dang good, then why is it that everything must be MANDATORY?

Why is it that the left is only "pro-choice" when it comes to killing babies?

This all started as an over reaction to a measles breakout in Disneyland and the liberal solution is to vaccinate kids with a vaccine that kills more people than the disease.

 

It will protect them better than they are protected now. California is one of THE worst in vaccination rates.

When i was a kid, we just let the disease take it course and we then enjoyed the natural immunity from the disease that resulted.

There is not a single shred of scientific evidence that vaccines are dangerous. Deal with it.

Not necessarily. There is still a small percentage of the population who have received the immunizations, but for whatever reason(s), they weren't fully immunized or not at all. and wouldn't know it until it was too late. Next, since we live in a world of global travel, should you be exposed to something you have refused to be immunized for, and travel to another country where the immunization rate is low, then you also put at risk many more, perhaps millions of people.

I you or your children are seriously allergic to the vaccines, you are not required to take them. Other than that, there will be no excuses for your kids if they attend public school. You can continue to put them at risk by either home schooling or sending to a private school, perhaps founded by people who share your (unfounded) beliefs.

And you need to re-evaluate your reasoning.

 

Here's the long and short of it:

1. Is the risk of vaccination zero? No.

2. Does the state have the right to decide that a citizen must assume that risk? No.

3. Can the state regulate the blood chemistry of the people allowed to attend a public supported school? ... I guess??

But the next step of course is to crush private schools with regulation, and make public school mandatory, which is tantamount to #2 and where people who fight for liberty have a problem.
