I think Putin will eventually be assassinated after the next "Election" and Russia will then work it's way back into acceptance by the rest of the world. Until then unfortunately the people of Russia will pay the price for his "interesting management style".

You don't mean acceptance by the world, you mean acceptance by Washington and its minions, so the Russian people can have the pleasure of seeing their wealth flying off to some favored nation as it did under Yeltsin and Clinton's Harvard helpers. As for the Russians, they will have the fun again of trying to figure out where their next meal will be coming from.

It's not going to happen you know? Russia will never allow itself to become a 'Ukraine' again. There's going to be a war...a major one.

Strange how those who are incapable of posting anything without mentioning Russia or Putin, are the same ones who keep talking about obsessions?

Firstly...Russia was never a "Ukraine" and never will be.
Secondly...there will be no War as neither side is stupid enough to go there.

Putin's interesting management style is the one put in by the American government when it controlled Russia under Yeltsin...to the chagrin of many Russians. They want it changed...and it is being changed...gradually. Even now they blame the situation on those who are still following the western patterns in the economic sector...like Medvedev and the head of the Central bank Nebullina among others.

You're right...like I said, we should just ignore any request for assistance, save our money and lives, sit back and watch while we fix our own stuff.

Just stopping food aid would be enough cash to fix every bridge in the country.

Yes, you have leaders - we have brain. So we do not need leaders (at least since 1945) but managers. And avoid them getting so strong, that we can't get rid of them when necessary. Like we did with Kohl and Schröder and will do with Merkel some day, although actually she fits well ...

+1, look, all what you wrote here, we can put in the one box: forms of governance. Western Democracy vs. outdated Mongolian (Juchi) form of governance (some say originally - Chinese some Persian) . do you agree?
