I'm not an American and yes I have read the Declaration of Independence & the US constitution have majored in American Politics and Government at one midguided period.
Why however would you assume the American way, whatever that is, could convince me it's the only one?
Medieval Europe was a very modest and conservative society as was the Victorian era but both periods suppresse women to a degree I find horrifying. Granted if the Middle East does return to being a Califate it will endeed be a very modest and conservative society.
Women being stoned to death for being raped, homosexuals being stoned to death for falling in love, etc.

Having been thrown out of several synagogues for insisting on sitting upstairs I suggest you don't point the finger in my direction.

It's rather obvious that ancient Sumerian and Babylonian religious stories / mythology are pretty much the same as the later versions of the thora/bible/quran. So maybe Jews find it marvelous to claim their religion is what they made up, and everybody copied it from them. But it's obvious everybody copied it from the Sumerians and Babylonians including the Jews.

You don't know what you are talking about.. and Muslim women had more rights than their western sisters did in 1950.

Your responses apologize and condone discrimination against women as cultural practice. That is a crock.

Clearly you have not read the US Constitution or Declaration of Independence. No wear does it justify segregating women from men in public places.

You are something else with your blind Saudi Arabian bias. You can't even concede discrimination against women in Saudi Arabia and you bet I would expect Jeanette to make the ridiculous comment she did not wanting to condemn discrimination against women in Saudi Arabia. Lol apologize away.

Hey now, you never heard of apartheid? You know the thing Israel is accused of? Oh say now you ever heard of what blacks went through in the US to be served in the same areas as whites? Who you? Nah.

See the civil war in the US, the civil rights movement, the changes in US society, never happened. Its cultural to believe blacks sit in the back of the bus and not drink from the same water fountain. Got it.

    The KKK hood, its cultural.

Your apologies for blatant sexist crap says it all. One standard for Saudi Arabia another for all others.

That entire apartheid claim about women in SA is utterly ridiculous. Everybody knows the abundance of shops selling gold necklaces, bracelets and rings in SA. Them are so incredible bright and shiny that you can't come near them with your sunglasses on. And what they sell there, is selling things for the women. You're not going to convince anybody that this is what apartheid means in Israel, US, South Africa.

I think even the US supports "private mediation" to settle things out of court. And that is what orthodox Jews do when they install their backward sharia like rabbinical courts. Courts where women are treated just like women are in SA.

"All men" includes women. Just as "mankind" includes women.

excusing sex discrimination under the guise of "tolerance" and "respecting other cultures", no longer flies.

that's like saying the Nuremberg Laws were ok cause the Germans had the right to rule their country however they saw fit.

    - - - Updated - - -

Mankind has evolved. Most of us now understand that all persons are entitled to certain rights, certain treatment.

Its not our fault if KSA has failed to evolve with us. Their actions and ways are backwards and should be illegal under international law. And if the USA govt. had any balls, we would sanction them for it.

Why would starbucks support this? It goes against logic. They would lose customers. I swear once the feminist/gay crowd start to get annoyed with all these "new rules" they're gonna set these guys right.

Jamming people up and making them conform to your beliefs doesn't work.. Give it time and it will happen naturally.

Surprised Starbucks itself hasn't been banned.

Some people take their tradition and customs seriously.

Islamic women in the West still don their customary attire.

They've been drinking coffee there longer than people in the west. It's more their custom than ours.

Its the same as a sign saying "No dogs allowed" Women are treated like animals.

If that's not bad enough, female dogs have to be covered while out in public. (They have to wear a Barka! )

Don't be absurd.. All the fast food restaurants have sections for unaccompanied women and children. I have been welcomed wherever I went.

Since you don't know, why pontificate?

You know less than Jon Snow.... lol.
The OP even says that the women in THAT Startbucks are not allowed, only because the wall collapsed. It doesn't say that Starbucks made a new policy to ban women in all the starbucks for a just because and has nothing to do with some wall.

    You're making it all up.

You do know this is temporary.. .. until repairs are made.. Saudi Arabia has MANY Starbucks and women are welcomed in all of them.

You really should check your facts.
