Hey, some of her buttons look like stars (though not at all like pentacles) and sometimes she wears costume jewelry . . . that . . .. looks . . . exactly what I see every time I go to the mall. I'm honestly not sure how this could be any weaker, and I wouldn't even care if she were a Wiccan.

How is that not simply "not a Jew"? How can you be secular and claim Judaism?

I live in Austin, TX and can attest to that.
I have dated several totally gorgeous women over the years here that were Wiccan.
    I love them.

Because she made a big deal about it on a comedy show?

Because Judaism is both a religion and an ethnicity. One can be ethnically Jewish, but not religiously Jewish. One can also be religiously Jewish without being ethnically Jewish, but the Jewish faith actually makes it pretty hard to convert to Judaism, so that happens less often than you'd think.

Cool. Thanks for the info, I thought he was saying he was still a religious Jew who loved the morals in the texts, but didn't believe any of it happened.

Because she said she dabbled in witchcraft. Those are her words. Why do you think it came up in the first place?

I know it will have little effect on you, but actually watch her say it.

So there is her, saying it. I'm sure you'll continue to cry about the left even though you've been made to look foolish.

I really despise candidates that wave their religion around. So tacky.. and so obvious.

What Sanders worships is his business. What Ms. Sanders worships is her business. Neither is any of my business,

By the way. it seems to me that Donny-boy Trump worships Donny-boy Trump and Teddy-boy Cruz worships Teddy-boy Cruz. If that is the case, both are reasons for howling atheism. Just a thought.

Well, it's my business in two instances:

    1. The candidate makes it part of their campaign. If part of your pitch is your religious beliefs, I will have to evaluate your religious beliefs.

    2. If the religious beliefs are so wacky that they call into question the candidate's sanity or judgment. For instance, being a Young Earth Creationist, or a Flat Earther.

Who's dumb enough to say "if you're white, you don't know what it's like to live in a ghetto"

Not really thinking of where the word "ghetto" comes from and the Jews (who last I checked are all white) who lived and died there.

    What a moron.

I don't see that as a problem. There are strains of Judaism that are into the mystical.

It was a got'cha question. Only a fool would have bothered to deny being a witch.
It reminded me of Nixon's "I am not a crook" comment.

Wacky is in the eye of the beholder.

The word "ghetto" has spread far from its 15th century coinage in Venice.

In this country, it is commonly used to refer to black inner-city neighborhoods, which is the way Sanders used it.

"Ghetto music" does not refer to traditional Jewish songs; it refers to rap and hip hop.

"Ghetto credit" does not refer to Jews living in Venice. It refers to people growing up in bad inner-city neighborhoods.

    And so on.

Agreed. I was just pointing out my personal exceptions to your "I don't care" rule.

Of course it is. For instance, some people found it weird that Romney was a Mormon. Most people didn't.

It's irrelevant. Sanders has so many problems that a Wiccan wife is the least of them.

His platform is essentially, "Elect me, and on day one I'll order the Department of Agriculture to plant money trees so we can get all that free stuff I promised!"

    Serious question.

Is there anyone who isn't under the age of 35 who supports Sen. Sanders?

The bulk of his supporters appear to be former members of the Occupy Movement, essentially un or under-employed 20 somethings. If that is the case, his wife being Wiccan is of no consequence. This generation has by and large rejected the major organized religions and fringe beliefs, like wicca, are more acceptable.

The DP/GOP primary system is rigged against Sanders - and Trump. No chance for Sanders unless Clinton is forced to withdraw.

Sanders is supported by every Democrat who is gagging on now blatant DPe corruption and election rigging. Otherwise he could not have won even 1 primary.
