Donald Trump Warns There Could Be Riots If He Isn't GOP Nominee "I wouldnt lead it, but I think bad things would happen." WASHINGTON -- Although he is leading the Republican primary race by a wide margin, casino mogul Donald Trump is still far from winning the 1,237 delegates needed to secure the party's uncontested nomination. Trump warned Wednesday morning that there would be widespread unrest if he does not "automatically" get the nomination as the candidate with the greatest number of delegates. "I think you would have riots," Trump said during an interview with CNN, adding that he represents "many, many millions of people," including several first-time voters. Party operatives hoping to stop Trump have looked to the possibility of a brokered convention, which could block his path to becoming the nominee should he only win a plurality of delegates. Trump said such a scenario would outrage his supporters, who have shown increasing willingness to use violence against their political detractors. "If you disenfranchise those people, and you say, 'Well, Im sorry, but youre 100 votes short, even though the next one is 500 votes short,' I think you would have problems like youve never seen before. I think bad things would happen," Trump continued. "I wouldnt lead it, but I think bad things would happen." Over the past several weeks, journalists covering Trump's campaign and people protesting at his rallies have been manhandled, punched, threatened and physically removed from events. The candidate said he would consider paying the legal fees for a supporter who was charged with assault for punching an anti-Trump protester in the face. i think he is right. If you have someone who is almost there or god forbid someone who actually gets the number and then turn it around and give it to romney then people would be upset. I think it would destroy the GOP.
pretty much were making a new one. Its the same with sanders. IF he won the popular vote and then clinton suddenly pulled it off with superdelegates his supporters would be really mad.
He right though. He electrifies the base, attracts crossover voters only to have the establishment go, "Look the elections are just for show, this is not the dog n pony outcome that was supposed to take place." Millions'll be pissed. And a side note: This country has the nerve to export "Democracy" worldwide. Brokered Convention .
Yes, I just found out about the superdelegates today. Of course it would make a mockery of your democratic process. The world though is kind of on edge as to what would happen with a Trump Presidency. How do you see it going?
Yet democrats will sa y that superdelegates is according to the rules so screw bernie I think the world will hate trump because he will put the US first. Like mexico may lose some factories, Europe may actually have to pay for some of their military expenses now. Overall it will be a good thing because it is not sustainable for the us to take care of everything.
Most economic analysts on both the left and right have said Trump's policies would bring about another recession. That's hardly putting America first.
I gather nothing more outrages the OPer than truth and reality. Trump said nothing that dozens of people in the media including Democrats are saying.
I don't think that is the concern How will Mexico lose factories by the United States not Mexico voting for Trump? Is this something to do with the wall you want to build? OK. Are you saying that you do not think a Trump Presidency would be interested in keeping an alignment with Europe? Do you believe a Trump Presidency would not see Russia a threat? Europe also is in danger of massive changes but how much they would happen during a Trump first term I do not know. Maybe take a bit longer but changes can sometimes happen very quickly and I think a Trump Presidency could hasten them. To be honest that says nothing. It means nothing. It is just a sound bite that appeals to nationalism as did your other statements. Tell me all the changes you see happening in this connection. There is a lot more to having a Trump President than the soundbite of 'making america Great again!'. In particular is the seeming discord he and his supporters presents in the US among the people of the US. Trump may use the word unifier but he is anything but and I think the OP also touched on something which has a few people concerned - Trump seeming to encourage violence and the violence that has been seen from his supporters.
http://www.politicalforum.com/polit...-article-world-will-hate-donald-trump-ok.html here you go its too hard to explain everything again.
The world already hates Trump for being a dangerous half-wit. He's even more stupid than George Bush when it comes to politics, and that takes some effort. Trump, as always, will put Trump first; America is simply the vehicle for his ultimate ego-trip; that of becoming POTUS. If you never saw anyone preening...
here you go one for you too http://www.politicalforum.com/polit...48401-why-i-am-supporting-trump-his-soul.html also a quote from scott adams (dilbert) Fear 4: Trump only cares about Trump. He will make decisions that favor his company and his ego above the interests of the people. Under this way of thinking, the most famous brand manager alive does not realize that doing a (*)(*)(*)(*)ty job as president is bad for the Trump brand. No one needs to stay at a Trump hotel and no one needs to golf at a Trump golf course. Trump’s business is the same as the business of the United States. He only does well in business if he does great as president.
Too late, the GOP is done either way. They can nominate a RINO or they can deny a RINO but either way the "grand" old party is done for.
Actually Bush ( or his advisors) were pretty shrewd when it came to politics. It was everywhere else they were unimaginably stupid.
They did it to themselves by dropping the responsibility ball and causing the US's credit rating to go down--which has resulted in higher interest on the loans our taxes are paying for..
You have ignored everything I said. Why question what I think about something which has not entered the discussion while ignoring everything which has. Does it mean you have no answers as to what you believe Trump would do apart from feeding on Nationalism and encouraging violence? What do you see a Trump America like that was the question.
