That's rich, when the only thing that got the Bloated Orange One elected is pure unadulterated rage.

So the 1st Amendment requires him to weigh in on this? FREEDOM doesn't mean requirement.

By your logic, everyone should own guns.

Reminds me of raising my kids..they thru a temper tantrum only once or twice, and when reasoning didnt work and there was no place to let them play out, a whack on the butt took care of it.....and, btw both didnt grow up to be monsters but productive, law abiding members of society.

So let the protesters play out (probly thru the inauguration) and then give a go to the cops for rubber bullets, bean bags, tear gas, etc. to whack their butts!

Don't forget policy, something the Beast of NY never spoke of. Over the whole campaign after the destruction of Bernie she did nothing but say Trump bad I'm good. Accept it there is a new Sheriff in town.

To publicly demonstrate their stupidity they riot in Portland and New York despite Oregon and New York going to Hillary Clinton. If they're serious they should protest in Wyoming for not voting for their candidate. Are they protesting against Democracy?

I know of no other people anywhere in the world who, after fair and honest elections, would riot and destroy property just because their candidate lost and before they are even sworn in. This takes a special kind of ignorance exclusive, I believe, to the US Leftist..

just a guess but I bet he is ignoring them for the same reason I put trolls here on ignore. they are irrelevant and not worth my time. Let the mayors of these liberal cities grow a pair and handle their own issues

Yet when riots were occurring in Baltimore, Los Angeles and other cities, many in here were screeching for Obama to intervene. Sounds like double standards to me.

Obama is the PoTUS, you want him to step down and Trump to be sworn in today? That works for me. You doi make a good point though, why hasn't Obama acted like a leader. Maybe because his handlers are the ones paying these protestors is my guess.
Since obama has failed at acting like a leader for the 7.5 years I see no reason for him to start now

Yes, I've heard that the US government has budgeted over 150 billion dollars to pay the protesters.

If, as President-elect, he says anything about these violent crybaby creeps it will give them a degree of "legitimacy" they simply don't deserve.

Who are these people? They're the people that Hilarity Clinton made fun of to her Wall Street buddies, calling them "basement-dwellers and baristas". They're the ones who thought they were something special because they dyed their hair green, blue, and electric-red, lived at home with Mommy and Daddy, and felt that they were "entitled" to get free college and all this other fairyland crap that Democrats were promising them. You put EBT-provided food in one end of them, and the only result is piles of (*)(*)(*)(*) in the toilet. They're functionally useless, and worthless.

So, when someone is elected to the presidency on a ticket that calls BULL(*)(*)(*)(*) on the rotten, decayed, decadent society that gives these morons their sense of "self-worth", in addition to all their welfare handouts, they get mad about it. What should be done? Bring out the water cannons and rubber bullets. If that doesn't restore order in our nation, the police can use different kinds of bullets. I don't care. You can stack all of them up in one heap and you know what you've got? Just a great big pile of whining, parasitic, worthless (*)(*)(*)(*)!

[IMG]. The problem, and, the solution.... . Next...?"

No, he's not required. But a good leader, a concerned leader, a strong leader would. He would look around and see the deep divisions and fear and uncertainty, and he would want to start the difficult process of healing them. He would understand that his incendiary and threatening rhetoric has many millions of American citizens terrified. He would want to speak to that, to reassure them. But, as so many said, he's temperamentally unfit to govern, so it's not surprising that the idea of reconciliation and healing hasn't even occurred to him.

He said on Election Night that we should come together. He needs to take a leadership role in that, or there's not a prayer of it happening. He needs to be a big man now, not a cry baby.

Exactly right...worthless. They don't have jobs, they don't respect our country try and the rule of law and they certainly don't respect fair elections.

Many people share your sentiments but if the Right begins serious rioting, such as these people in the Left wing cities are doing, they may well regret they didn't stay home in their parent's basement.

When the Tea Party protested they left the areas cleaner than when they arrived and no damage was done to any property or person. You'd never see this at a Tea Party protest.

In the first quote, you implied that he should have spoken up because he has freedom of speech. If you meant that he had the right to shut up also, then I apologize. That's exactly what I am saying. He has the right to hold his tongue and it is not yet his place to overshadow the current president on such simple non-partisan issues as maintaining peace in America. Let 0bama do his job if he will.

If he tells the idgits to stop rioting without any authority to do anything about it, the idgits would laugh at him and call him a whiner. What do you suggest he say? "Wait until I get my pen and my phone. I'll show you."? He is doing the proper thing and respecting the office of POTUS by letting 0bama finish failing at his job.

    Donald J. Trump ‏@realDonaldTrump Nov 11
Love the fact that the small groups of protesters last night have passion for our great country. We will all come together and be proud!

Trump isn't in power yet. He's not president yet. He has no control outside of words, words the protesters will refuse to hear. Words for calm should come from President Obama, the protesters might listen to him. Then again not. Perhaps the best solution is just to let the protests die out on their own. I think anything from Trump would just put fuel on the fire. Now Obama and perhaps Hillary might dampen it some.

Sometimes these young kids will have to learn there isn't safe zones in real life when things don't go according to their wishes. This is reality hitting them in the face and they don't know how to handle it. Just let it play out and then they can go back to their safe zone, perhaps even no Trump zones back at their colleges, receive counseling for their hurt feelings. Hurt feelings that are not allowed in their safe zones.

My point was he cannot be compelled to speak up nor can he be denied his right to speak up if he so chooses.
