The title of the thread is about homicides. Our recent discussions have been about criminal gun violence and how to curb it.

You want to talk about suicides, then start a suicide thread.

Here is the link for the data that I provided above. This should work.

Vegasmidget doesn't want to believe that bad guys that are killing each other is what really is behind gun violence/crimes in the US.

He thinks regular people walking down the street are killing everyone else.

The subject of the discussion pertains exclusively to homicides that involve a firearm. Do not attempt to derail the discussion through the introduction of suicides that involve a firearm, unless you wish to be reported for engaging in thread derailment. Either stick to the subject of the discussion, or refrain from involving yourself in the discussion at all.

12 of the 15 states wit the lowest per-capita rate of firearms murder have "lax" gun laws.
This should not be a surprise.

    Not exactly.
Lanza's mother bought the rifle legally.
Lanza murdered her and stole the rifle.
Somehow, some people believe that gun control laws could have stopped this.

Then your current argument is that the criminal element is avoiding homes where the homeowner is likely to be armed?

The member GC17, in response to your continual assertion that states with a conservative makeup having higher rates of deaths that involve firearms, asked if this was because the criminal element was getting shot in the process of committing their crimes, because firearms are less restricted amongst the populace. You claimed that this was indeed not the case. If such is not the case, and more criminals are being killed in states marked as conservative, then what are you suggesting is responsible for the higher number of firearm-related deaths when compared to states marked as liberal?

If criminals are being killed in the act by gun owners in self defense in high numbers in those states I asked for evidence of that

While simultaneously stating, without evidence to back up your claim, that such is simply not the case.

You are stating that criminals being killed by their intended victims does not explain the number of firearm-related deaths in states that have a heavy conservative makeup. What is the evidence that allows you to state with absolute certainty that this is not the case?

No. What is the evidence that is happening?
